The Reviews about A Wolf at the Door (page 2/ 4)
------ performed by Radiohead

Radiohead rule | Reviewer: goni | 9/10/08

I'm useing this song for a short scene I have to direct in class. I love radiohead and this song is perfect for my portrayal of a man gone mad. On the Keane, yeah I don't Keane are nothing compared to Radiohead but I still like em. It's ok to like pop if it's good pop and I think Keane is good pop. Radiohead is of course in another league but it doesn't mean you can't like Keane.

How about we all just forget the whole Keane argument/discussion below and move on. Pretty pleassse! :)
I'm personally more interested in learning the deeper meaning of this beautiful song.
To me, it almost seems like Radiohead is placing themselves in the shoes of a wife and mother who is battered and abused by her husband, but at the same time it feels like it's the abusive husband that's speaking sometimes, for example:
"And with my X-ray eyes I strip you naked
in a tight little world
and are you on the list?"
The rest of the time it seems like a narration between the husband and wife is going on...

Now, I could be TOTALLY off, but perhaps this could lead to some creative discussion. :)

fanatics grow up!!!! | Reviewer: me | 4/7/08

lol.. the lirics dont have nothing to do with radiohead. and all bands are not forbitten to use Words, beeing used by other bands... how many are called "you" or "sunchine" or what ever...
grow up fanatics! dont need to say that outhers are worse than radiohead... thay only need to keep singing as good as they do. thers no need to say what ever, radiohead demonstrate they are good. that's enough for me. they really rock!!

radiohead took its name from a Talking Heads song. but radiohead and kean should not be compared. i think its pretty obvios who is the superior band. radiohead is the best and of our generation

Great Song | Reviewer: TheHIV | 4/1/08

I just looked at the Keane lyrics for "A Wolf at the Door" and they looked pretty shitty to me. Not a band I would ever listen to.

Anyway, this song is probably their best closers. Its also one of my favorite songs.

shut the fuck up about the fucking keane thing. i dont even know who the fuck that is just talk about radiohead, yeah? this is one of the better album closers they have. it is so beautiful. i heard it was about him getting beat up. which makes sense. but may not be true, since i didnt hear it from yorke himself

Yeah. Radiohead. | Reviewer: GETupNgEtOVer | 12/30/07

Keane sucks.
If this song imitates any other, it would have to be "Because" by the greatest band of all time.
Keep it simple, kiddies.

keane and radiohead | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/5/07

whattttttt i just saw someone compring keane and radiohead wtf come on peopleee keane is like jello and radiohead is lke the most magnificent dessert in the world

Lyrics | Reviewer: BBW | 10/30/07

This song is about Little Red Riding Hood and her trials and tribulations with the Big Bad Wolf. He was a cunt who liked to bother pigs when they relaxed after work in their houses.

Bashing Keane? | Reviewer: Tashii | 9/7/07

To everyone whose against Keane here, you guys need to lay off Keane.
Keane has admitted to having inpspiration and influence from Radiohead, all they took was the name and just so happened to have a word in their song match the name of a song of Radiohead's (Scatterbrain) I really don't see the big deal. MANY bands have similar names.
Keane never took their lyrics or anything, Keane touches on different issues than Radiohead, and Keane has an emotional depth to their songs like Bedshaped, Your Eyes Open and many more. Radiohead is just darker. Don't compare them, they dont even sing about the same things, and by the way I love Radiohead just as much as the next person, but I love keane too, they didn't do anything wrong.

I love this song -- I fell in love with it the first time i heard it, as well as Keane's Wolf At The Door.
