The Reviews about 15 Step (page 2/ 3)
------ performed by Radiohead

no words can express.... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/19/09

I am inlove with Thom's voice, especially in this song!! It's absolutely incredible to me that he can hit all the notes he does, in any given pitch...soo crazy. Radiohead is my absolute favorite band ever, they are soo diverse and original!! This song is nothing but proof of their genius, and Thom himself just rocks my world!!! :P

timing | Reviewer: Bensen | 3/3/09

I just wanted to point out that this song is in 5/4 timing it seems, so there would be 15 beats in 3 bars, or maybe they even wrote the song in 15 beats per bar just to emphasize the 15 step, just putting that out there because some people mentioned sixteen beats. Im not saying i think anyones oppinion's wrong. :)

i thought | Reviewer: wow | 2/9/09

this record would be like the shit new ones bands have bought out this year but one listen to this song and i was in love.
might actually be my favourite radiohead song now.
and i'm pretty experienced in these ways i've got six previous albums but this is like culmination of everything wonderful they've done.

insightful | Reviewer: liz | 2/4/09

I think this song is about the patterns in life. If you refer to the way that a song is often in 4/4, in which case 4 measures would be 16 "steps", I believe that they are comparing a song [in that sense] to life. One takes 15 steps, where things are going good, they are on a real upper in life, then the "sheer drop" before the 16th step refers to how all the good suddenly falls away, leaving them back at a low, where it always starts from.

"It comes to us all, it's as soft as a pillow"
This refers to how you might not tell that the bad part of life is sneaking up on you. It comes to us all = everyone has ups and downs in their life; everyone goes through it.

"Ex-cetera, ex-cetera"
People will always ask you if you're alright but most of the time they won't care, / can't do anything about it if you're not. This happens many many many times throughout your life; throughout the ups and downs.

"Fads for whatever"
This could refer to how meaningless trends and materialism turn out to be in comparison to feelings.

This is kinda my take on the song. Take it or leave it, i know song mean something different to everybody but i'm interested to see if anyone has the same view of it as i do.

Also: possibly the way that it's written in 5/4 can be symbolic, in the way that they won't reach that 16th step again where things tend to fall away.

Genious | Reviewer: amex | 12/8/08

Greenwood and Yorke ar music genious! Just listen to all of them songs lyrics... I fucked everything. I use LSD and then Im listenin' all the time this song and up on the ladder. Sorry for bad english.

EMACULATE | Reviewer: Jon | 11/13/08

I don't know how it's possible for a band to create music that has signs of brilliance and originality in EVERY song. 15 step's amazing druming with 5/4 time and the outstanding range of Thom's voice is just proof of this in Radiohead. I agree with the comment before mine, there's no way Radiohead will fade with music still locked away in their heads.

Last album!? | Reviewer: Nikolai | 9/14/08

What's all this talk about "the last album"? They're already planning on a new one. They'll head for the studio after they finish their current world tour. Fear not, at least one more Radiohead album will see daylight

Amazing! | Reviewer: Zach Brandt | 3/31/08

This song is just amazing all together.

The drumming is one of my favorite parts of the song. He's just an amazing drummer. Plus, the song is written in 5/4 which adds a new feel to it. The voicing also adds a type of feel to the song which is unheard of.

I agree with everyone's comments and we must show our love for Radiohead!

master piece! | Reviewer: Eddddd | 3/8/08

The drummer phil is amazing, part of it is samples it think, but its true they never make a decent album unless theyre arguing, this is probably their last album and what an amazing song for it! their motto was 'this is the last time we'll have the enery to do this so make better make it a good 1' im annoyed i dint get into them till it was almost too late! reconer and 15 step all the way!

In fuckin sane song. | Reviewer: Aditya | 1/24/08

killer drumming. Awesome breakdown, radiohead is always a treat to hear. The best part i like where there is an echo in the line fifteen steps then a sheer drop, killer thing!!!!

bass is too sexy.
