I remember when her first single hit the airwaves in 1989 (98.7 kiss fm, nyc) the girl nearly fell from the second floor window as she was yelling for our crew on halstead st in east orange, nj to turn on the radio while we were hanging on the block playing football in the street. Her brother Lance (winkie as known to his friends) was my best friend, I miss him dearly, but I know he is looking down on us vey proud of what he sees.
