The Reviews about Killer Queen (page 7/ 13)
------ performed by Queen

Killer Queen | Reviewer: Anon. | 8/14/07

People are used to hard rock, energy music from Queen, yet with this single, you almost expect Noel Coward to sing it. It's one of those bowler hat, black suspender numbers - not that Noel Coward would wear that. It's about a high class call girl. I'm trying to say that classy people can be whores as well. That's what the song is about, though I'd prefer people to put their own interpretation upon it - to read what they like into it.

That is what Freddie himself said about it.

this is such a cool song I've listened to it at least half a million times!!!

btw i'm pretty sure the last chorus says "too many times" in stead of anytime

Killer Queen? Killer song. | Reviewer: Greg | 8/8/07

It's definitely gelatine, not guillotine, but I think that point has been made strong enough already. I just wanted to say I love the way the second chorus comes in. The way it sounds, it comes in so strong, it's great. Queen is the absolute best rock band ever, and Freddie wrote the best lyrics to ever be written.

Corrections | Reviewer: Anonymous_Listener | 8/8/07

First, it is a female prostitute. You don't call any male 'as playful as a pussy cat". And second, the dynamite and other stuff describes how good it 'blows your mind', in adult-terms. Think about it. Why would there only be one reference to killing ('killer queen' doesn't count.) if she was a killer? I have listened to this song five times this half-hour and it does say jell-o-teen, as the semi-liquid explosive. It is made into dynamite so that it has a shape and confinement. Trust me, I have learned to use my ears to study sounds and how to make 20 different kinds of Dynamite.

I love this song and I love Queen! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/4/07

I don't think his song has mistakes in it. I just want to point out that in my opinion (this is the opinion of a 13 year-old girl) Queen is the best band of all times and Freddie the best singer ever!

ummm. yes it is about a prostitute. but the whole gelatine thing. gelatine is a form of dynamite. ''gunpowder, gelatine, dynamite with a laser beem.'' that whole line is just about how deadly this hooker he had just went to had been. or maybe im just high.

Killer Queen | Reviewer: Kieran Dunsdon | 7/30/07

first of all this is an AMAZING song!!!

second of all, this song IS about a prostitute

and thridly of all... the british DO NOT pronounce guillotine as "jill-uh-tine"

Blasting gelatine | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/29/07

Blasting gelatine is an explosive used for demolition and eart moving. It fits in with the "gunpowder" idea.

Great song, wrong Chorus lyrics | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/27/07

I love this song, this is one of my favorite Queen songs. However, it says "Gunpowder, guillotine", no "gunpowder, gelatine", as I've stated before. I have Guitar hero, and play this song a good amount. I also have the Greatest Hits CD of Queen and I've listened to this song hundreds of times. Thy say guillotine as jill-uh-tine, they're a British rock band, so they have the accent, as opposed to saying it as gill-o-tine or gee-a-tine. Just pointing that out. I'm 120% sure of it.

Re: 70's rocker | Reviewer: Holskie | 7/25/07

Hey, just wanted to point out that that this song is actually probably a metaphor about coke, if you think about it. It's personifying something that he loved, with references to "gunpowder... guaranteed to blow your mind" & "recommended at the price, insatiable an appetite, wanna try?"
yeah, basically i don't think this is about a prostitute.
