These lyrics are on two levels, one that borders on insanity and irony, and another level that makes the listening uncomfortable by using historical tradgedies. This uncomfortableness makes the listener think about society and how one person can change the thinking of an entire nation based upon their actions. If you've ever heard the way Prince sings this song and the music, much like the lyrics it they almost fall apart but there is something that holds the entire thing together.
