She's honest, tells it like it is, shares her pain, her mistakes, and her vulnerability with the listener, yet empowers women to speak up, stick up for themselves and assert themselves. I've come a long way in acquiring ALL her music now. There you Go is still an all time favorite, along with Cuz I Can. Wish she was touring the states - I'd see her in a heartbeat. And it's not that she speaks only to those of the younger crowd. I'm 45 and love her music. In Australia she criticised the sheep farmers for "mulesing" their sheep - unaware that they had funded research to eradicat the process themselves andnow it is no longer needed. And true to herself, Pink appologised when she realised her mistake. I actuall think her contribution helped to speed things up anyway so great work. one of a kind | Reviewer: so much love | 8/13/08 alecia moore aka p!nk is such a rarity in the music industry. she's never afraid to tackle any subject and does everything full throttle. she gives so much of herself to the world and is a true role model. of course you have the ocassional swearing and the tattoos and unconventional style of living. But lets be honest here. Who needs the Paris Hiltons of the world who are just a waste of space. I would rather look upto her than any other celebrity out there. She's smart, caring, aware of the issues faced by the normal people and not caught up in the "celebrity" biznez. Every artist has a voice and we turn on our radios, cd's dvd's etc... everyday to listen to that voice. What they choose to write about and sing is from thier perspective and there are going to be those who agree and those who disagree. The wonderful thing about this world is that you can do just that and be heard. Having said that, the way in which some of us express those thoughts should be governed by thy own self. Bless Pink for having the voice that she does (clearly a touch from God)so that those of us who appreciate talent can enjoy and those of us who enjoy controversy can have something to think about and discuss. I am thankful that there is a female artist out there singing about something more than how hot her ars is and how someone wants it, yah yah we know sex is everywhere, but atleast my 9 & 14 yr old daughters can appreciate a strong, positive role model with out feeling like they are inadequate.
