This has to be one of Pink Floyd's most awe-inspiring songs. It's not the same as DSOTM, but when I listen to it I get chills... So much love for this song.

I had this dedicated to me and I had never heard it. Now I feel kind of special that it WAS dedicated to me.

Pink Floyd is truly amazing. Wish You Were song was produced more than 30 years ago (1975) but it is still played now and no doubt in the future too. This shows how Floyd were well ahead on their time.

I dont listen to Pink FLoyd so much but this song gives me really really strange feelings about everyone I love.

Syd Barret--Pink Floyd's original lead singer--was not deceased at the time this song was penned. He had retreated from the public life. It is a common rumor that he had gone insane and was in a mental institution. This is also false. He merely left the public life to make music on his own. His albums are inspiring. He died in 2006.

This song is dedicated to him and is amazing.

i think this is the best of their songs. Its got such a different feel to it and the emotion it creates is amazing. Its a song that can appeal to anyone and yet still has that bittersweet sting to it. Brilliant. A great song for all to enjoy.

my 21 yr old son lost his best friend Aug 2006, they dedicated this song to Blake. This song is part of their daily lives. Whether it is a ring tone or on a t-shirt(all 6 own the shirt). I am amazed how this song has inspired the boys. THANK YOU FOR THIS WORK OF ART AS WELL AS A WORK OF HEART

Knowing the song was written for their declined lead singer from the 60's, the song takes a lot of sense. Syd Barrett being unable to perform anymore due to insanity, had to leave the band, and they amde that song for him. Are we happy that one of their best friends went mad? ...

Really a touching song, though, and it makes me think of tons of things...
