this song has soul, passion. what a great song. my mum has the dark side of the moon on viynl and it is a pleasure from start to finish. pure heaven. my favourite album besides ok computer by radiohead and the white album by the beatles.

Us and them is about conflicts, specifically war. Roger Waters uses popular comparisons to openly broadcast his view on not only war, but just opposing viewpoints in general.

Us and them is a conceptual distinction we use to separate ourselves from those whom we attempt to subdue, except when we want our subordinates to work as our equals without rewarding them. Although, I argue openly that there should be no "us and them", it's really only a license for manipulation. Indeed, by subjugating another with unrealistic demands, absent of open communcation, "us and them" becomes the default management style, although I call it something else when required to speak about it.
