New to Floyd? | Reviewer: Jeff | 7/17/09

Where have you "new" fans been? Pink Floyd has been around in one form or another since the 1960's. They were known as "The Pink Floyd Experience", later as "The Pink Floyd". Take a look at the video boigraphy - Which One's Pink? RIP Syd and Rick.

Going Pink, the Flyod way | Reviewer: Omdeep Piya | 6/10/09

6 months ago, Pink Flyod was just a heard band name for me. So during the course of gettin psychedelic, I got introduced to their songs thru a fren. Then, I got their whole albums and there I was, going Pink, the Flyod way. They r just incredible.

this is undoubtedly a masterpiece....it's true that gilmore played a superb solo, but if it wasn't for rick wright pink floyd couldn't have been the way it is.....his keyboards are uncomparable.....its particularly noticeable in comfortably numb, coming back to life, echoes, cluster one, green is the colur, shine on you crazy diamond, wish you were here, signs of life, high hopes,on the turning away......also in cymbaline.....its cos of rick wright that their songs are transcendental and heavenly.....the ambience he creates is just superb.....this band is timeless and will never be forgotten.....LONG LIVE PINK FLOYD.....

Awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/26/08

Two years back I knew nothing of Floyd. Slowly I started listening to them after getting hold of their entire collection. I just love Floyd. Its the only thing that gives me peace. Very often I shut out the lights of my room. The cool breeze comes in. Floyd strikes his chords. I lay on my bed. Ohh..those are the best moments of my life. 'Lost for words' is a masterpiece. I love this song. I love the lyrics. Long live Floyd! :)

Way off the mark | Reviewer: Anon | 3/21/08

In response to the accusation of some of the songs on the Division Bell being vindictive and accusatory, what a load of bull, you obviously havent bothered to research the album. This album is a swipe at nature, mother earth and all that man has done to undermine it, there is also a lot of subliminal references to the art of communication. The music is communication from band to audience. This is already apparent in "What Do You Want From Me". "You" means the audience. The song clearly concerns the band-audience relationship. Lost For Words is NOT a swipe at Roger Waters either, as a lot of people think, an accusation David Gilmour has been quick to deny in countless interviews. This site, http://www.angelfire.com/co/1x137/dbell.html gives a pretty thorough breakdown of the album. In my opinion this album is up there with the great albums of the 70s Dark Side through the Wall and this track is one of my favourites.

Division Bell rocks | Reviewer: Hard Boy | 2/4/08

The second album released after Roger Waters left, the Division Bell seems less forced and less of a Gilmour album than A Momentary Lapse was. After Rick Wright returned on he keyboard (for the whole CD) and co-wrote 5 of the Division Bell's songs as well as singing Wearing The Inside Out, the Division Bell seems more of a "team effort" than Momentary Lapse was.
Some of the songs like this one, written by Gilmour, could be directed at Roger Waters (as well as A Great Day for Freedom). Including the references to the "wall" coming down, although that more specifically refers to the Berlin Wall coming down. The tone of the CD as shown in What Do You Want From Me and Poles Apart is vindictive and accusatory.
The sound is more like the Pink Floyd sound before "Dark Side of the Moon."
A solid album, a solid song.

what i see | Reviewer: asis | 12/12/07

i love roger waters (i know this is david gilmour's... don't just even think about it..)but yeah i think he's (R.W.) a genius but david gilmour's pink floyd didn't lose that much after he quit pink floyd.... this is just great and i know this might wouldn't get to the streets if roger waters was there but... anyway about him we have Amused to Death... a master piece as this one (of course in a different (or not :\) way :P) so 2 for the price of one if u all get me it's the best from the worst... :P but still kills me knowing i probably wont see pink floyd with roger waters in my life.... or even david gilmour's pink floyd as i like to call. .
Peace!

excelent | Reviewer: Dam | 8/2/07

this is one of my favourites pink floyd songs, it,s excelent!
i listen a rock band from argentina called "INTOXICADOS" and i REALLY RECOMEND the song "felicidad:depresion", it's very great song similar to pink floyd songs like "shine on your crazy diamond" and "brain damage".
Listen to it!!

Amazing Song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/6/07

When I first listened to this song and viewed the lyrics they are so deep. I realized that its true about people how they sit and try to get even with enemies instead lets just try to get over the reason why. This album is my favorite because the words of the songs are real. I love Pink Floyd.
