I love this song so much, last time i got arrested the cops came into my room while i was listening to it and i made them wait for the song to finish before going with them.
On my top 10 list | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/26/07
It may mean something different to everybody. But for me it simply told me that I wasn't the only earth bound misfit on the planet.
a great song | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/5/07
i agree with everyone that the song goes farther than the literal translation. my interpretation has always been about living your dreams despite all the roadblocks life puts in front of you.
One of Floyd's greatest | Reviewer: maureen | 2/10/07
It really is a thought provoking lyric. One of Floyd's greatest. The song can mean whatever you want it to mean. One note....its not "earthbound guilty guy"....The lyric is "earthbound misfit, I"
I agree | Reviewer: Sant | 2/7/07
Apart from love, drugs, suicide or whatsoever, it's also about liberation. It's about nonconformism. We've forgotten to be free spirits.
A wonderfull song! | Reviewer: Robbe (Eventure) | 12/11/06
I think this song is amazing! You can find many different meanings in it. You can say it's about drugs, love, suicide, pain, and so on.
Every time you listen you can interpretate it in another way, depending on your mood.
If you are in romantic times you say it's about love
If you are in a sceptic time, you say it's about drugs
If you are in a painfull situation, you can see suicide and pain in the song.
If you watch te clip of this song, you can see what I mean.
It's a wonderfull clip that makes you thinking about the song and then you get the conclusions i've already said.
