Everything under the sun is in tune | Reviewer: Jerry | 2/23/09
What Alex said reminds me of The Committee, a 1968 film that Pink Floyd composed the soundtrack for: "Some people think that the criminals and the mad are the real heroes." "Why not in a corrupt world? In a pointless and vicious society?" "But in a reasonable society?" "There are no criminals." "So one criminal act can turn a reasonable society into an unreasonable one?" "And back again."
Eclipse is beautiful, brilliant. I want it played at my funeral. Its a song that beckons me to appreciate every moment of my life.
And All Thats To Come.... | Reviewer: Alex | 4/29/07
quite right, one of the greatest finales to one of my favourite albums. 'Brain Damage' and 'Eclipse' are really the same song.
For me, Roger Water's brilliant, strangely uplifting lyrics really seem to grasp the idea of madness as not only a terrible affliciton but a release of sorts, a liberation from the insanity of 'civilization'. In Madness there is inight.
good finale | Reviewer: pedro garcia | 4/26/07
One of the best finale songs. What a way to end an album. One of the best songs to end an album, compared in my own opinion with the Beatles Abbey Road's song "The End" .
