Reviews for Burning bridges Lyrics

Nick Mason said most of this album was written in one week under a movie related deadline. Shows what pressure can make people do when they have to. Album is good, but it lacks a strong radio song. Main limitation is a lack of exceptional instrumental gold in any song. Also, some of the lyrics are too abstract for radio play. Finally, the movie totally sucked and so gives no added publicity or cache to the album. Fans of Pink Floyd's calmer music should love 4-5 songs on this album. Odd that Gilmour wrote such an excellent lyric for his Childhood's End, yet thereafter was unable to write any lyrics until after Waters left.

That's pretty sad. This is a beautiful song and it doesn't get the praise it deserves (hell, the whole album doesn't get the praise it deserves). It's a shame this album was so overshadowed by the rest of them.
