wow! | Reviewer: nathalie | 6/20/08
personnaly i think it´s ridiculou to label this song ´´gay´´....it really shows the ignorance of certain peolpe (not everyone here but some)! can´t you see that there´s a explicit message behing the song?? the russians soldier singing, the statue of lenine contrasting with the statue of liberty, the stairs, leaving behing the ´´stupid´´ way of thinking: socialism!
well, i don´t want to start criticising socialism but come on, this song really passes on a great message, and it´s a shame that some people prefer to label the song ´´gay´´ instead of trying to understand it...homophobes, you´re just ingorant and i pity you!
anyway, i love this song and i´m looking forward to listening some songs like that!
thank you for evryone´s support!
xoxo
why gay? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/29/08
i dont see why your all labelling this song as gay?? it could be about any number of things, partnership in general or just love?? even if it is gay it really annoys me because alot of people at my school, see me listening to it and are like OMG its a gay song, ffs, even if it is gay (which it may not be) how does that make the listener gay?!?! i hate homophobes!! o, love the song btw, brilliant song.
Partnership+love+hope | Reviewer: Horacio | 1/30/08
This is a song that can be labeled "gay", but in fact it depends on the listener: it talks about love, partnership and a new life (no matter your sexual preferences or if you leave your homeland for political or economic reasons) -- just that. Anyway, it could be a hymn of the coming out. All in all, a beautiful song (specially if the west if your direction in the Chinese horoscope...)

This was the song of my coming out in 1993 | Reviewer: Kevin in Miami, FL | 10/12/07
This was the 1st song I heard and danced to at a gay club in 1993 when I came out. I will always cherish this song as my very own gay-outting song. Thanks for putting up the lyrics.
Good driving song! | Reviewer: Chris | 10/11/07
Never realised the deeper meaning of this song, in wake of the 1980s HIV pandemic. First heard this tune as a nipper aged about 7 always loved it. Now when I hear it I think of Devon/Cornwall lol with the reference to going West, sunshine, beaches and slowing the pace of life. Highly recommended whilst blasting down the M5 for your hols!
not necessarily gaaaaay... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/15/07
hey i know it's said to be a gay song. And it might be... but I like it and I don't care if it's a gay song or not. I often think of me and my gf going west! :D
Fab song | Reviewer: Tom | 9/2/07
