------ performed by Paula Cole

I've always liked this song, even when I was younger.....I'm in a long distance relationship, and even though it's not because of war(and we don't have any children at the moment),it's hard because I'm always wondering if anything will happen to him before I get to see him again, since I only see him for one weekend out of every month.....it may not be the same situation, but I can understand that feeling of not knowing if you'll see the person you love again...

Hysterical | Reviewer: Ken | 6/18/07

This song still makes me laugh every time I hear it.

Every teenage sopa-opera melodrama ever has to have this song on the soundtrack.

God, it's awesome in a terrible sort of way.

it's a desperate wife waiting for her husband | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/10/07

I think it is a history about a woman, who is waiting for her husband who went to the war. As it said she had two children, so she was worried about if her suns are going to meet their father or not. Some day her husband came back but diferent, he was full of anger because the war, and now he is cold with his suns and grandchildrens. At the end she doesn't want to be as her husband se "wants to be here now"

This is my opinion, probably i'm wrong. If someone has reasonable explanation for this song i would like to read it in this web site

Wearing shrapnel in his skin | Reviewer: Anonymous | 5/22/07

My nephew came back, without his leg and the other seriously damaged. He also lost some other functions. He has a family and I know that he has some psychological problems from things he saw and what happened to him. He didn't even agree with the war eventually and didn't want to go back for his second tour. Why again do we keep fighting these wars? "His father, his father and his father" indeed. This song begs for a new video to be made.

Take hold of the moment, life is fleeting... | Reviewer: Curtis | 5/13/07

To me, this is a methaphorical story of the war we all wage each day of our lives to "stay alive and see the light of every eye". It's about not taking anything for granted, the sadness of mistakes we have made and the fear of repeating these mistakes. A good song with a great voice.

I love this song so much, my mom used to listen to it on her way home from college every night in like '99. I love it so much, Paula Cole has an A M A Z I N G voice and the lyrics actually MEAN something.

I absolutelypossitivelycompletely love it!
