The Reviews about Paul McCartney (page 1/ 2)
my thoughts | Reviewer: bobbie | 11/3/12
i was lucky enough to see the beatles in chicago,1966,the summer i turned 12 then lucky enough to see mccartney & wings in early 90's in atlanta. i can't describe how much paul mccartney has meant to me during my life. also the other beatles. collective works and solo.
Dear Paul ... of my life is imminent, as I bought tickets for my husband and I as a belated gift for his May birthday and Father's Day just passed, as we are some of your biggest fans ever, to see you at the new Yankee Stadium in two days, Saturday night 7/16, your last show in NY this US tour ...
... and if there never is another, could be an especially historic one for we of this great city of NY, although I am from Rockaway Beach which is a suburb of Queens and just an 'A' train ride up to the Bronx for us ... and my husband, though Irish-American and raised in Rockaway as well, was born in London.
I cannot even begin to describe how much you especially) and The Beatles have meant to our lives ... the song my husband chooses to be the one that most reminds him of me is "In My Life", which now I can't hear without getting all choked up, as we have been together all our lives.
Everything all above has said, excepting the mean-spirited misogynistic remarks unfortunately included by one man, goes double for us, and more
... you are a phenomenally gifted, talented and beautiful being with which this world has been blessed, and I thank you for the song I never knew you wrote entitled "Give Ireland Back to the Irish", that I came across today while boning up on my lyrical memory of some of your compositions, as there have been such a copious amount thereof, as I want to be able to sing along with you, as I have been doing all of my life.
When it comes to my musical gurus, of which there have been more than many along the way ... I choose YOU to represent the great love of music "In My Life" ... I hope we could actually sing together in The Great Beyond we will all go back to one day, as I am never happier than when I am listening to you/singing one of your songs, as to be so joyously my ideal of Heaven.
See you Saturday!!! Eternal love to you, Gina
Genetical musical genius? | Reviewer: Michael
I sigh with nostalgia as my thoughts drift a way bacl to Ed Sullivan & The Bealtes. I almost 11. Now, as a former head choralist & opera singer-in-the-making YET bailed out, I compare Paul's compositions to Warsaw Conerto, Waltz Of The Flowers, Blue Danube, Zadok The Preist, I Was Glad, Richard Roger's THE SOUND OF MUSIC score, and Irving Berlin (i.e. Holiday Inn); what I look for is written songs that go beyond the repetitive verse chorus to a tangential quailty that takes a song past a 5 minute boredom. McCartney's Top 40 accompoishments to me on the whole fell short of this yet, a Day In Life did. IF one looks at The Moody Blues music, they DID accomplish this more than nay of the Fab 4 and yet, they are not acknowledged for ~ 10 remarkable LPS. Far more sophisticated than the Bealtes but, they lose the average person that does not have that Welsh_Irish combo genetic link such as the boastful me. In essence, Sir Paul captured the perfect hit tune without ever being too depressing with the exception of The Long & Winding Road, which I believe is one of their lushly moving songs that ended the Story Book of ALL generations namely, The Bealtes...THEY were the ones...today, Top 40 is diseased by lady performers who have to rely on machinary music and taking their clothes off due to the lack of cognitive and emtoional ability to pull off what SO MANY counterpart males did to the tune of 1,000s of songs prior to their take over of music TOO! It is disgusting that we waste our artful time on such performers like the perverted Ga Ga, Perry, Spears, Christina...etc etc they have sabotaged what was great music from male performers for decades with TRASH. Someone must say what I just said for it is the truth. Women have their place and, it is NOT at the forefront of music as seen today. Empirical evidence is not debatable AND, as young men are stifled by female sexual exploitation as the teasers, plus left wing socialsim taking privatization through TAXES from the man's pockets, we will continue to see deterioration in ALL areas of our culture including music.
THE ALBUM, THE BOOK AND THE SONG "LET IT BE" MAKE ME REMEMBER ONE OF A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY'GIFT ON THE 24TH OF JUNE 1973 AT THE END OF THE SECONDARY SCHOOL GIVING BY ALL THOSE "FAB FOUR" FRIENDS WE WHERE AT EIGHTEEN YEARS OLD. WE ARE NOW 55 AND SINCE THAT TIME, THIS GIFT OF YOUR'S, OLD FAB FOUR, MARKED OUR LIFESTYLE OF LETTING IT BE FOREVER. PAUL, THERE'S NO WORDS TO THANK YOU ENOUGH EVER AFTER FOR MAKING A GIRL'S HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND WE ALWAYS THANK YOU FOR WHAT YOU DO. FROM QUEBEC WITH LOVE!

I have grown up with the music of the Beatles as I am now 62 years. Just wanted to say how I have enjoyed your music, Paul, and thank you for songs. I am amazed at how many great melodies have come from you, such a talent, yet even more importantly, a good moral example for the youth of our generation and others to follow, Best wishes from America!!
Thanks... For everything... | Reviewer: Emily
Even though Im only 13, I'm a gigantic fan of you and your work in The Beatles, Wings, and solo. I heard Hey Jude what seems like yesterday but actually happens to be 2 years ago and I haven't been able to stop listening to you since. Thank you for your contribution to music! I don't know what I'd have done if you hadn't made the music you did. From the brilliant Uncle Albert/ Admiral Halsey to the epic Live and Let Die to the beautiful No More Lonely Nights, your music has influenced me to pick up a guitar of my own (I'm lefty too :) ).
Forever a fan
All of that talent | Reviewer: Paul White
I have been a fan since the Beatles stepped off of the plane in 1964. Paul has musical talent that only a few can have. What's better iswe have the same first name, yet my skills are paltry compared to his.
I have been a fan since I was a toddler back in 1964 when you first came to the States. I fell in love with the band and have been in love ever since. I can't express enough the feelings that I feel when I hear the music that has brought me so much joy, love, and happiness. You have brought so much to the world and are such an inspiration to so many! My dream of seeing you came true in 2002 when I won ticktets to a show. If I would be so lucky to cross paths with you, my life would be fulfilled! Love you always, Mary
more than "BEST".. | Reviewer: czarina | 8/9/08
if there is one word greater than BEST, then it would fit the name PAUL MCCARTNEY..
why? because the word BEST is not enough to describe HIM as a musician, singer, songwriter, father, husband and as a MAN..
thank God He created a PAUL MCCARTNEY...
THE WORLDS GREATEST! XX | Reviewer: Traci
You ARE `the worlds greatest`, singer, song writer, musician, poet/musical artiste!! But, you are also a great person/gentleman, you do not deserve what you have been put through, you deserve love and peace, things don't always work out, but any woman, who deserves to be called a woman, if ever lucky enough to be married to you, should have just raised her head at the love and companionship they would have had from you and left it at that!! I have alot of respect and thought for you, also alot of love and the only english thing i am proud of!! apart from my own children xxxxxx Traci xxxxxx

house of wax | Reviewer: r. early | 8/15/07
IT IS THRILLING TO HEAR A SONG LIKE, HOUSE OF WAX. PAUL HAS BEEN WRITING AND SINGING ALL THESE YEARS, AND HIS TALENT IS SO AMAZING, BUT, HOUSE OF WAX IS SUCH AN OUTSTANDING SONG, IT STILL SURPRISES ME, THAT HE CAN STILL ROCK BETTER THAN ALL THESE UP AND COMING BANDS AND SINGERS.
A FULL ALBUM OF TUNES LIKE HOUSE OF WAX WOULD BE GREAT, A SOLID FULL HARD ROCKING ALBUM.
STILL AMAZED BY PAUL
Thank you Paul for all of those cool songs. I've been listening to you ever since I was a kid way back in 1964. God has blessed you with the gift of music, especially songwriting at which you are the best without any doubt and the world has been blessed by your birth into this world. You, along with your three brothers have changed the world and have showed mankind that we still have a chance and don't necessarily have to wind up a plestering heap, and that we can learn to love one another. You have guided me from a child into manhood and molded my character through your music and words can't express how much "GRATITUDE" I have and I will love you until the "End of the End". Love Joe Laginestra
