If you are looking for inspiration, then listen to the original version off of the solo album ("McCartney)".
If you want to ROCK this song, I suggest you listen to the FACES version (off of "LONG PLAYER").
The Wings version doesn't stand up to either of these.

I love this song, I think it's amazing and it gives me chills when the first few chords play, and Sir McCarney begins to sing.. it's so honest and earnest, and you can tell that he's pained and he's yearning to express what he's really feeling, I think that's what he's trying to get across with this.. that love is beautiful and scary and amazing and sometimes you're unsure but you can make it with love on your side.

Jem does a lovely cover of it for the OC soundtrack, but it's nowhere near as amazing as this [of course].
