It's songs like this that give me hope. I'd like to thank Paramore for giving hope in a world where it is so hard to come across. I will keep fighting Hayley. For you, Josh, Zac, and Jeremey. (hope i spelled that right XP) Thank you guys so much

Paramore writes such amazing songs. I have every one of them. Hayley did say something in an interview about this song being about suicide after she did the suicide prevention commercial. (which no longer airs sadly enough.) That's what she meant it to be about, although you can interpret it any way you want. I just love this song, and all the others on Riot!. :D

When I first heard this song I thought it was about suicide/death. But I also think everyone can have his own opinion about it and can relate himself to it differently. anyways, it´s an amazing song ;) ♥
Great song! | Reviewer: joey | 3/4/10
Paramore is alright but not amazing, and this their only good song. In response to some of you fools, good music isn't dead.. it can never die. You just don't know where to look, Paramore's music is alright but nothing creative or new here.
It's amazing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/17/10
The meaning you can get out of any paramore song. This one does seem to make sense on the break up opinion and the suicide thing. poetry is all about interpretaition and artist are justn putting thier thoughts out there and trying to make them where people can relate to them. I have a friend who i feel like i cant trust. she cant keep a secret and talks behind my back. "You made yourself a bed
At the bottom of the blackest hole
And convinced yourself that
It's not the reason you don't see the sun anymore" makes me think of how she still denies what she does is wrong. the sad tone and dark melody of the song seem to have a meloncholy meaning but I'm sure someone out there can find something good in it...

I lost a boyfriend to suicide and I find myself playing this song all the time...
It could be about anything, but the words are what I find myself repeating over and over again because suicide is a decision that can't be taken back and you will never really know the answers...
THE REAL MEANING... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/29/10
Hayley had a friend who committed suicide and that's where this song came from...not a breakup, but like a lot of Paramore's material, many of the songs can be seen as having double meanings which is why I think so many people can relate and connect with their lyrics.
Whats everybodies obsession with death? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/31/09
Suicide....Omg! Really? It's a sad song so it must be about death and suicide. Get over yourselves! It was a bad relationship and in about a month you'll be totally obsessed with some other fucking asshole who you think your in love with when really all he'll do is use you because dudes are tools, nothing good about them. But back to the song it's about a relationship ending because he fucking cheated! And she wants to know why... "Just say it again and mean it" she wants him to tell her he loves her and mean it. "You made yourself a bed at the bottom of the blackest hole" It's like the saying "you made your bed now lay in it" Like she's pissed because he cheated so what he gets is she's leaving him because she can do better and she wants him to tell her he loves her because shes hurt because she loves him and he cheated. Which there is my point again dudes are tools you can live with them but you'll be so much happier to only use them. Which is what they do to us all the time. And don't get your panties in a bunch because you have no idea who I am and you know deep down I'm right and someday you'll thank that bitch who made that comment on a song! =)
wow. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/10/09
This. Is. My. Favorite. Song. Ever. I never have favorite songs, I'm just not like that, but Paramore has outdone themselves on this one! Sadly, there's not much good music anymore, especially now that a lot of rap artists are taking songs from the 80's and 90's and making it theirs. It's like a freaking circus in the music biz! So when artists like Paramore put songs like these, it gives me hope. Music isn't just about money, it's about putting feelings into sound and sharing it with others.
Ya, btw, this is a suicide song. The thing that makes it so beautiful is the melody and harmony and the words. XD pce!
Seriously?! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/17/09
Okay, personally I think this song is about suicide and people trying to overcome depression. But that is my opinion. Everybody has their own oppinion and I don't understand why people have to get so deffensive when they voice their opinions. Freedom of speech people. I think that it can relate to New moon as well. But everybody has a different way of looking at things and we should learn to respect that. Either way I think that we can all agree that Paramore is a brilliant band and this song is phenomenal.
