I love this song. Regardless of whether it was written as a love song for a fleshly relationship or as a song of praise and devotion to God. Either way, it's a beautiful song. To me, it speaks more on a level of bf/gf love. Then again, I find every song to speak about that at the moment. Either way, Paramore did a wonderful job with this song <3

This is song is very touching. I know some of you think its about god or a person. But its about Josh. He ask Hayley to write a song for him and she wrote this. serious. wouldn't have said it, if it wasn't true.

I just heard it today and I totally fell inlove with the melody and the lyrics. It reminded me of how Bella felt when Edward left and I think it definitely is suitable for the New Moon soundtrack I wish Chris Weitz could have listened to a more vast collection of music. This I think is more worthy to be in the soundtrack than some of the songs I heard in the movie.

This song makes me cry... when I first heard it I tho it was just a girl singing to a boy, but honestly, not copying, the lyrics are really deep *.* made me almost cry heheehhe and then I started to hear it as if it was for God... (honestly, not being a shoelicker ¬¬) just because of lyrics and how she sings it...

If you love this song, in my opinion you need to hear the live and acoustic version of it on The Final Riot! CD/DVD. It's very different, very emotional and raw.
I think everyones allowed their own opinion on the meaning of this song and aslong as it means something to them, it's fine.

This song can be taken so many different ways, I mean, it could be a song about a best friend dying or maybe their friendship fading,
"stay with me, this is what I need please"

Yes it is a song about god, but you can make it into anything you want it to be, it's a good song

uhm, I think it could be for God and/or a person. But when it goes -please don't go now, please don't fade away- God would never actually leave you so I think that part coudld go to your bf and/or gf that's like slowly losing connection wth you. but it could for you losing faith in God? so I think it can be for God or someone else. yayyy I'm singing this for my graduation:]

Yeah Hayley said that this song was about God. But before then me and my friends would be like, "Aw she wrote this song for Josh!". Then we saw an interview where Hayley said this song was about God. So then we all were like, "Aw she wrote this song for God!" lol But songs have a different meaning to many people. So if you look at it as a relationship song then yay for you, but if you look at it as a religious song then yay to you too. :]

I've been attending the same church for the past 5 years and we've been singing this song in the choir WAY longer then Paramore so I do think that it does have a religious meaning behind it. People can take it anyway they want but the lyrics seem so much more then just a girl singing to a boy, or a boy singing to a girl. I mean, c'mon people, really look at the lyrics, there's a deeper meaning behind them. Stop being so close-minded

This song to me, is about a relationship that has been slowly Fading away, "Please don't go now, please don't fade away" is like, please don't leave me, i really don't want to be alone....if you get me? and its like "This heart, it beats, beats for only you, my heart is yours" is just screaming out I LOVE YOU in different words!!! OKAY!!!

Yes it makes sense to me. I am also a Christian and I do believe that this song could be about the relationship between God and a person. At first it all made sense except for the "this heart beats for only you, my heart is yours" bit... but then i went to the feet washing/ last supper thursday mass the other night and I was listening and reading the songs they were playing there, and one was singing "i give you my heart, I give you my soul..etc" so now it does completely make sense because, people who do want a connection with God, pretty much give their heart to him. So .. atleast to me- i think its about God =]

some people say this song is about GOD some people say there is no such thing as god, so those people who think the song is about god and at the same time think that god does not exist are stopping to listen to paramore, those are the people who are dumbfukers

Wow, I love this song! The screaming is so amazing, it blows my mind.!! It makes the song. this band has come so far and they just stun me with every album they produce. 5/5. And also I don't think it's about anyone who's died, it's just she let someone go and in the end they were the one she needed so she was saying my heart beats only for you, and to come back to her because even though her heart can sing it's own song [she can move on alone] there wouldn't be any point to move on anywhere without him. :) Just my opinion.

this song is absolutely amazing.
when my boyfriend and i broke up, i ended up listening to it more. he's into screamo, so the screamo at the end kind of reminded me of him.
and we still like each other, and we've been talking about getting back together.

i think that hayley is an amazing person, and i love all of paramores songs. :)

For the first part of the song, I was always like meh. I thought the chorus was cool, but then the entire my heart it beats for you section blew me away and gave me chills. It was sooo intense and pretty.
