I don't know who this Bethany person is nor what she said, but I do know that she sounded like she was actually talking to God, not using his name in vain. My mom says 'Jesus!' When she gets hurt because she's calling out to him, not cursing. And from what the song says, I could understand her calling out to God, because the world of girls is really like that, and sometimes it's just so messed up, all you can do is call out to God. When you say 'Goddammit' or 'Goddamn' is when you're cursing, and I admit I've said these phrases more than I'd have liked. So, to whoever you are, cool your jets. Haley's not attacking anyone, she's more likely to be showing her relief to God for sticking up for herself, pertaining to the song. ^-^ Kay thanks luv ya bye!

i love this song.

and my two cents is:
why are people looking up the lyrics to this song (ahem bethany and followers) and saying they dont like it. go look up a different song. i have no problem with yur beliefs and i repect that yu are willing to share them and invite others to discuss it with yu, but this website is not the Bible's greatest hits or an open debate on the 10 commandments (although im sure the reviews could pass for one). This page is for people who like the song Misery Business and want to know what the lyrics are so they dont look like idiots walkin down the streets singing Whoa...i dont want my water to break, or some other form of the song they invented. So if yur on this page jot down yur thoughts on this thing and walk away. Cuz if it keeps goin on like this its gonna get too outa hand and somethings gonna happen like the irish people will get pissed that the site is making fun of their heritage because the background is green. think about it...

I love this song. My best friend showed it to me and I instently fell in love with it. I can wait to go to a concert. I hope to go asap. Anyone who don't like this song needs help big time. Ya it uses the lords name in vain but you shouldn't take it personal

fucking love this song. to bethany:Oh My Fucking God! Get a fucking grip on reality! Your review does the whole guilt trip of shoving christianity down peoples throats. Not to mention, "Christians", are extremely critical of other religions if it doesn't conform to their standards. That, and they are hypocritical beyond belief. They say its bad to be a homosexual and then priests turn around and rape little boys. At least gays are adults and choose to live their life that way unlike priest's targets who have their whole life destroyed by one act of completely disturbing lust. And, being in catholic school since the age of three, isn't lust against the rules for priests? And who cares if she said god in a song? I sling around GODDAMNIT like theres no tomorrow and so far i haven't been struck down. Or is that just reserved for evil pagans (oh yeah, christians are also Irish killing bastards). The best I can say about pagans are at least trees don't rape children and halloween lasts longer. Fucktard.

She is not being a hypocrit or stuck up. She is making a statement of what she believes and is being attacked for it, but because she is trying to live a better life for herself to serve God, you all are making her out to be a terrible person.

Yes, the Bibles says God all the time. In the context that it is teaching you about the Lord and what he tells you to do and how he cares for you. It is not saying the name in Vain.

Yes, sins are forgiven, but you are meant to turn away from your sins. Not continue to live that way and take advantage of his forgiveness.

AND AS FOR FAITHFUL CHRISTIAN! Your name is a lie. You are not faithful. You are taking the Bible out of context and manipulating it for your own purpose. Read the Bible. Understand it. Ask you Pastor/Minister about it.

Ok. Beth...if you were a REAL Christain you wouldn't critisize Paramore for using the Holy Lord's Name. i say it all the time and God understands. if you go to confession and tell the priest it is forgiven. i think you should go to church and think about it. God.
