There can only be one original, the first in existance. Words and notes are simply broken apart and reassembled. The fact is nobody invents new musical notes or makes their own alphabet. If they did their songs wouldn't make sense, and the emotional connection would cease to exist. If you want an example of how it's done in the music world Paramore is a perfect example. They have created a beautiful marriage of musical design and linguistic musicality. Their lyrics' rhythmic structure is tied so well to their melodies. The decision to make a word with an eeeee sound at a note held for a long time or to have certain consonants during choppy rythms is like throwing a stone at a tall tree in hopes of hitting 3-4 birds with one throw. And their design of melody is just, well, if I could paint what their music looked like I would need the painting skills of Michaelangelo. A closer look at her lyrics shows talent and knowledge of poetry so far beyond her age that it appears as if she has read and learned all the rules for expressive and musical language that she could write how to books. Just because they dont have meaning to you, doesnt mean they dont to other people. maybe we are looking behind the catchyness of the music and actually thinking about it. Brand New is an amazing band, as are some of the others mentioned.
