It's been years since they released their first album, so of course they're going to be a little more mature, and they're going to write songs that people their age are dealing with. They're not teenagers anymore. And I agree with Serenity on this one - Ryan was just saying that they just want you to listen and they'll keep rocking. Rock on, Panic. This wouldn't be the first time they made reference to him, seeing as the song 'Time to Dance' is directly based off Palahniuk's book "Invisible Monsters." "I'm the narrator and this is just the prologue." seems like Brendon saying he's the singer of Panic! at the Disco and this is just the beginning of their album.
