The Reviews about Nine In The Afternoon (page 1/ 3)
------ performed by Panic! At The Disco
They went into a great new musical direction. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/1/09
In my opinion, Panic has always been fantastic with writing songs with lyrical substance and also provide a catchy tune. Wherever they take themselves is completely up to them, and I like it how they didn't just stay in the safe net. They ventured out, and it has apparently worked for them. The change might affect their beginning fan base because it is so different, but I will continue supporting Panic until I hear a bad song.. And well it hasn't happened yet. I love the album Pretty. Odd. [;
...that's why it's panic... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/29/08
...i agree with most of the people here, i love their song, even if it's extremely different from their previous album...it's folksy, it's whimsical and catchy at the same time...
...i thought it was boring at first, but later the song started to grew on me...
...one thing i agree with tarrynn with--although the rest of your review i don't think so--why did panic drop '!' it? it's one of their distinct trademark already...
that richelle bitch is dumb | Reviewer: Ur All Dumb | 12/21/08
They matured? Insted of talking about girls being sluts ect ect to "its nine in the afternoon?" There music videos are so mature. They look like little fucking kids in costumes running around. How is that mature? you fucking kidding me trick? they lost basically all the fan base besides the dumb teenies. They went mainstream, Have you heard of the saying "if its not broken, dont fix it" well they were def a great band 1-2-3 years ago. But now they totaly suck. Only song "I" liked is "that green man" or whatever its called. Everything else is garbage. Shut up bitch cause you dont know what you are talking about.
it is what it is | Reviewer: *star* | 12/9/08
Although im not the number 1 fan of patd all i know is that i love their music. I loved them when they first came out and i still do to this day. I dont see them as sellouts or anything like that because all of their songs relate to my life one way or another. I can be pissed one day and high the next. And its THEIR music so they can change it depended on how they feel anytime. I dont have any problems with them or their songs.
I like the song | Reviewer: Lt.Col.Brown | 12/2/08
Good song, but i'm not a huge P!ATD fan.
Tarrynn: You are an obsessive, overly dramatic, lifeless loser who desperately needs to get a life, accept change, and possibly see Dr.Phil about that head problem of yours.
All bands change their sound, have you ever heard of Linkin Park? They went from their own genre that i haven't found a name for, to a modern hybrid of Punk and Metallica.
I can't say i like the new LP, but I still love the band.
So just get over it, or GTFO.
Be a little mature | Reviewer: Richelle | 10/31/08
People writing bullshit about how they absolutly love panic at the disco and how much they suck now because they changed their sound need to grow up cause seriously it's rather pathetic.
The band has stated that they are not going to base their entire music career over songs they wrote when they were 17. They matured and so did their music. If you can't handle the fact that they have matured than you can't really call yourself a true fan because someone that does love panic as much as they say they do would accept that they and their music will mature. Patd's first cd came out when I was like 14 l'm now 16 and have matured much like the band has.
You should really watch and read some of the interviews that they have done where it has been purely about the music you might learn a thing or two about why they changed their sound and why they don't like teeny bopper magazines.
Yours sincerly Richelle.

All I have to say is... I completely disagree with Tarrynn. Anyone who can possibly appreciate music can accept change. Get over it, it's their lives, their music, not yours, they aren't playing for one person, they're playing what they feel. If you don't like them having happier songs, then, um, fuck off? Get a life? Listen to something else? Anything you want to, but quit dissing people just because you don't like them.
sell out? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/4/08
Does it count as a sell out when P!ATD was already making MTV quality hits? I consider sell outs doing something different to make more money, but PATD was already making money and hits that were mainstream.
I could be completely wrong, though.
