Emo Music | Reviewer: The one behind the scene | 3/5/07
I think you´re all falling for it, emo music takes your feelings and makes you hear what you want to hear within a little range of options, that makes it so good :D It´s good to fall for this ones though xD
All songs have a meaning, you...
They all have meanings... | Reviewer: Joeh | 2/25/07
"I doesn't mean a thing. They're just trying to make the words rhyme"
I disagree. All songs have a meaning, (apart from the stupid songs like Fast Food Rockers and those kinds of embarasments)... I agree with Garrison.
Oh and can I just mention I LOVE this song! Hehe... xD
I dunno | Reviewer: Bob T. Builder | 2/13/07
For one thing this isn't where you start a religious discussion. As pertaining to the subject at hand I would have to say there going down the lines of "practice what you preach", Hopefully.
If I'm wrong o well i probabbly won't ever listen to the song again
eh, you're all stupid | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/11/07

and i could be wrong | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/30/06
but i think he's being really critical of the scene today
the song is about a show - "give us this day our daily dose of faux affliction" - emo lyrics make kids feel what maybe isn't even real. they indulge in false emotional feelings of pain.
"In this little number we are graced by two displays of character,
We've got: the gunslinger extraordinaire/walking contradictions;
And I for one can see no blood
From the hearts and the wrists you allegedly slit
And I for one wont stand for this
If the scene were a parish you'd all be condemned."
two types of people at shows. walking contradictions and i'm not sure what he means by gunslinger extraordinaire
the rest is about how these scene kids are so fake. could it be more clear? "If the scene were a parish you'd all be condemned."
the scene is a masquerade which is what panic! is trying to get across in most of their songs anyway.
Alright, then. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/27/06
I'll concede that one to you, sir. Upon looking at it from your perspective I understand it. Thank you for defending your God in stride.
Where would the world be without the faithfully blind like you? :)
Or you could miss the point completely... | Reviewer: GuruGreg | 3/22/06
I understand allegories can be difficult, but the song is clearly about the idolization of bands/musicians and the love/hate relationships with fans who often don't see the band as made up of real people.

Well this song is obviously talking about the non-sequitorials of the christian faith. I love it.
Give us this day our daily dose of faux affliction,
Forgive our sins Forged at the pulpit with forked tongues selling faux sermons Because I am a new wave gospel sharp, and you'll be thy witness
So gentlemen, if you are going to preach Then for God sakes preach with conviction!
~If you're going to shove it down our throats, you really should believe it yourself...
Strike up the band!
Whoa the conductor is beckoning,
Come congregation, and let's sing it like you mean it
No. Don't you get it don't you get it? Now don't you...move.
~Same thing
We sure are in for a show tonight
In this little number we are graced by two displays of character,
We've got: the gunslinger extraordinaire walking contradictions
And I for one can see no blood from the hearts and the wrists you allegedly slit And I for one wont stand for this
if the scene were a parish you'd all be condemned.
~The bi-polarity of the christian faith. And then also, the faux redemption that "born agian" christians follow, and obviously "you'd all be condemmed if this were a church"
