build god then we'll talk | Reviewer: sarah | 2/2/08

this is a just a thought, but i think that title of the song, Build God, Then We'll Talk, is saying that in a relationship one of the people is unhappy with the other person is doing and is telling them to do something absolutely impossible (like to build God) and then they'll talk.

did anyone else have this thought?

Asbestos | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/3/08

Sorry, I don't mean to be bitchy. Asbestos is usually or at least used to be used in construction of buildings. Yes in certain cases it can cause lung problems of many types and some very deadly. There may be casual long term exposure from regular buildings that are in good shape where there is harm caused over a life time of living there, but I am not aware of that happening and please if I am wrong accept my lack of knowledge. But the real danger is when you are working with asbestos or have had it disturbed in a building by (EG: having a wall/ cieling fall down or just a whole in the wall) in which asbestos was used in the construction. In these cases there could/ would likely be negative health effects. On the whole if it is left undisturbed in a building you should have no health problems from it, from my understanding. Sorry for taking up your time and sorry if I seem horribly bitchy or am wrong.

Sound Of Music | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/22/08

Ok, obviousely u guys haven't seen The Sound Of Music. The lyric:(There are no) Raindrops on roses and girls in white dresses
its sleeping with roaches and taking best guesses
shade of the sheets and before all the stains
And a few more of your least favorite things is a spoof of a song called My Favorite Things from The Sound Of Music

well... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/20/08

Bravo "Thursday's Child". You had many of the ideas about the meanings that I did. I only have a couple of things to add. I believe the rosary tucked inside her lingerie was a way of showing that she was Catholic and was using her faith to help her get her through what she had to do (with the lawyer) or hoping that God would forgive her or whatever. As for the hotel, asbestos is no longer used because of, as Amelia stated above, the deadly fumes it gives off, and fermaldehyde is a chemical that is used in morgs, so I think that it is describing the terrible condition of the hotel. Also, I'm glad you thought the "decomposing right before your very eyes, along with the people inside" meant the people decomposed morally, because that is what I thought, but I just thought I was being stupid and reading too much into it. Lastly, "she really needs this money, a wonderful charicature of intimacy" I think kind of pokes fun, like saying, "she really needs the money, that's a a great characteristic for having intimacy" as the word 'intimacy' is usually reserved for meaningful relationships and intercourse, not just sex between a hooker and a client.

but I dunno, I could just be crazy. But I'm glad other people actually think about lyrics, and I'm not the only one who tries to analyze them. Thanks for all the insight everyone!

will be forever loved | Reviewer: share | 1/15/08

i love this song because it has multiple awesome beats and sweet music...not to mention the lead singer (i forgot his name) is very hot-or at least i think so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Church? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/2/08

its very possible that it could be the inside of a church..
...the fake intimacy and closeness that is inside it...and its tenants (the lawyer and virgin) aka parish members or maybe the virgin mary...who are inside the church and how people go to church and leave it as completely unholy, different people.

the whorehouse suggestion was interesting and very possible as well.

Hmm.. | Reviewer: Blah blah blah | 12/31/07

Yeah I was lookin' at everyone's reviews and possible ideas as to the deciphering of the story.....personally I think that the contents of the "purse" are drug-related. I mean, because she's already so corrupted and stuff, and "between her and the badge", she probably got caught and stuff. I don't know maybe someone already said something much more fitting so forgive me. That's all I have to say about that..... :D

Gema's wikipedia definitions | Reviewer: Amelia | 12/25/07

first of all, i loveeeee this song.

secondly, GEMA, its not abestos (thats an entirely different thing) its asbestos- a material that used to be used in walls of old buildings and stuff that gave off deadly fumes. when inhaled, causes your lungs to shut down and eventually die.
