Lucinda get over it! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/7/09
Lucinda you cant go blaming a group for your daughters death. its probably your fault. and you know what if you weren't so concentrated on hating outkast you'd realize you probably did something or she tried to tell you something but you ignored her!

IT is a very sad story about your daughter and there are many people out there that may seem to be perfectly fine and not show signs of depression but truthfully are deprressed and its hard to live your life being depressed and not geting help from a professional and this song couldve added to her stress but you can't blame them for this it most likely was not about your daughter they probably had no idea of your daughter
It's The Truth Being Spoken | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/27/09
Too many females are just like Caroline, chasing dudes for their cars and how much money they make. Sorry for the truth to hurt so bad, but if your Caroline was anything like this, you should've checked her a long time ago. Children often grow up doing things their parents did, so if she was living foul, she probably learned it from you. If you're looking for someone to blame for how things turned out, you should probably start in the mirror. One love to Outkast. Keep kicking that real.
Art... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/9/09
Art is what this song is. Outkast makes perfect songs with the right vocals, beats and other sounds. I love it to guts :).
To Lucinda,
Like others have said, I'm very sorry about your daughter, but to make an accusation that this song is the reason your Caroline committed suicide is not logical. Like you said, she was academically talented, thus smart, I'm sure she would have gotten over this song after hearing it a couple of times if it truly offended. Please don't hold Outkast responsible for her passing, they are simply artists who make music, never directed at anyone. If they admit to your daughter being a target, I am sincerely sorry for all these things that I have said and I am completely on your side.
Re: I loved you baby | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/22/09
Just wanted to let you know we all feel very bad for your loss, but blaming an artist for an unknown affect on a person who must have been already mentally ill is not the answer. Please try to see past your dislike for this song and try to see what it must have been that your daughter liked about them. They have brought hapiness to people with their art in the past. I'm sure it you listen with an open mind you would find comfort. Please, for your own sake, give it a try.
Caroline | Reviewer: Caroline | 1/13/09
My name really is Caroline, and i love this song. That is a tragic happening, and very unfortunate. However, i do not believe outkast has done anything immoral or offending. To blame Outkast, or to call them "blashphemous" when they are only pointing out how wrong it is for girls to be so materialistic and vain, seems very ill-directed and illogical.
Response on Suicide | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/16/08
A song has never made someone suddenly suicidal. There are many other conditions that pre-exist, and a song may serve as a catalyst motivating self-inflicted injuries. This means, tragically, that there were other factors in your daughter's life that made her feel the need to end it. This song WAS her suicide note. Obviously, she was trying to tell everyone something by leaving it for you, so instead of blaming the artist, maybe you need to look and see what your daughter was trying to tell YOU.
wait? lyrical question | Reviewer: Anonymous | 1/20/08

Roses Rockz | Reviewer: Steve | 9/16/07
I dont want to be rude lady, but im sure that Outkast had no idea who your daughter was and for her to take a song so much to heart which wasnt directed to her, is clearly not Outkasts' fault. I like the song and for the swearing, get over it. It isnt that much swearing and if you're listening to hip hop and scared of swearing, why are you listening to hip hop in the first place !!
