The Reviews about O.A.R. (Of A Revolution) (page 1/1)
Old dog learning new music | Reviewer: Reed | 5/12/09
I have only recently found out about O.A.R. and their great unique sound. I am a mid-50's "raised by motown and rock n' roll" man who was starting to think all the good music had ended with Doobie Brothers, Marvin Gaye, etc., in the 70's. I was wrong. This past year I have listened to Sirrius radio whenever I am in my vehicle and O.A.R. was a great find! The first song I heard by them was "Shattered", and as good as it is, I am now finding out they have had a ton of good music for quite a few years. Especially considering their all fairly young. I will be an avid listener of this remarkable fusion band from now on.

This is one of the most beautiful songs that I have ever heard. If you have ever been in a rocky relationship then you can relate. The lyrics, the rhythm, the message is just so heartfelt. I love it, I lived it.
DITTO DITTO DITTO!!!!! | Reviewer: Mrs. Dunn | 11/16/07
Outstanding sound! I love this band and have recently discovered them through my teenaged kids - who are truly obsessed. I kept buying concert tickets and finally got one for myself. I love their sound and I want them back on the road - COME TO CHICAGO!! Unique sound, soulful lyrics, don't miss this band!
Help! | Reviewer: dragonfli | 9/12/07
Could someone PLEASE publish the lyrics for "Ryhthm of Your Shoes"?!? I hear the accoustic version on a local Detroit station (recorded here, live) and I LOVE IT! It strikes a cord with me, and would love to see the lyrics.
Thanks -

Great people doing what they love to do. They always play their hearts out no matter where they perform. O.A.R. will keep growing in popularity and release many more great albums. Awesome band!!!
Good stuff... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/28/07
hhaa yeah O.A.R is the sh*t. I love "Crazy Game of Poker" and "Gin & Juice", which is so much better than the Snoop Dogg version haha.
Definitely recommend 'em.
This music is soooo cool!!! | Reviewer: T. R. | 2/25/06
I positively love "Hey Girl". I heard the song a couple of times at the gym on XM radio. Immediatly I knew I had to have it. I sang the chorus over & over until I found out what that song was, who wrote it, and bought it.
....Beautiful!!!
Yes, this band has their own sound & it is awesome, but, I would have guessed that the artist of "Hey Girl" was The Dave Matthews Band or some other popular older male rock group... I am pleasantly surprised to find out about this group of young, very talented artists.
Indeed a new sound. | Reviewer: Dirt | 11/12/05
I went to one of their concerts last night, and let me be the first to tell you they are an amazing live band. They do use some different instuments, which adds a lot to being able to pick them out. They are most deffinatly one of the single greatest bands out there today.
Truly Unique Sound | Reviewer: Phoenix | 1/17/05
O.A.R. (please, don't say "oar") is a breath of fresh air amongst angsty poser emo "bands" and bubblegum pop singers. They use instruments outside of the usual rock square, like saxophones. Marc's voice is unlike any I've heard, and though they may get compared to Dave Matthews Band for using different instruments, they sound completely different and they're right up there with Dave.
