The Reviews about The Man Who Sold The World (page 2/ 5)
------ performed by Nirvana

You have to listen more music ROCK4life | Reviewer: Lesstad | 12/15/08

They are many concepts about the rock music, and certandly Nirvana was a fundamental piece of the evolutive sounds of rock, like others in specific times like Led zeppelin who was considered father's of heavy metal, and Nirvana imself father's of the grounge sound, BUT YOU NEVER CANNOT COMPARE WITH THE BEATLES, because is a very different kind of music and concept, don´t be a stupid and listen much more music before you say stupid things.

P.S. With all respect for the nirvana fans, included me too, =)

Amazing | Reviewer: Tony | 9/11/08

people will hear this song in the future and say "remember that song by Nirvana 'The man who sold the world'" and they'll be like "yeah" little would they know this song is really by David Bowie only perfected by Kurt Cobain's amazing creativity.

Kurt your fans miss you.

Nirvana was a badass band and if they where still around today they would have even bigger than the BEATLES! This song just shows how much Nirvana can get a song that sucks and make it sound cool, no offense to David Bowie.

hate to rain on the parade | Reviewer: F | 5/29/08

I hate to bust up this Kurt love fest but the lyrics are a bit wrong...its "searched afar the land' not "searched for a foriegn land". Just my two cents but it is a good song. I disagree that the song is better with Kurt singing it. They are equally good.

It was not worth it... | Reviewer: Marisol | 1/1/08

The Man Who Sold The World is the epitome of Nirvana's success. They took a cover of a song and made it their own. Kurt's emotion and raw passion definitely comes through each and every time.

awesome | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/15/07

Simply an amazing performance and probably the best song of a perfect all-round performance. I Agree with the other dude, although Bowie wrote, his performance doesn't give hte same raw emotion which, i feel, Kurt's voice can only do. One of my all-time favourites.

perfection | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/29/07

in my opinion although david bowie write the song nirvana prfected it there is no way he could ever top that performance.
hearing kurt sing is like nothing else in the world i just love the emotion he puts into his art when you sit there close yuor eyes and listen and sing along you feel his emotions too.
there is no other band that i can conect with like that nirvana operate on a completely different level to any other band. they truely are the greatest. btw a big fuck you to joe ward you insensitive narrow minded prick! nirvana were the most influencial band of the90's and in my opinion the world. you are not worthy of even thinking his name! you are pure scum. kurt is by far the greatest person who ever lived. you are lower than shit!

Supprise! | Reviewer: Muhammad Nazreen | 11/15/07

This song is about a normal daily end of time man's state destined to meet with Prophet Eesa ('alaihissalam) or you what call Jesus. Although he laughed in disbelieve after being told about the fact at first, for years after that, he never forgot his meaningful stare that really changed his view about the reality of life for eternity.
