I wanted to see the lyrics to Teen Spirit and Sliver, but in the end it really doesn't matter. Kurt was a genius and his gift is opening up his soul in pure sound. His voice, his guitar...incredible! Most songs lose power with repeat listenings, but Nirvana's burn their way into your nervous system. Kurt's screaming and the chords and drums pounding, then a soft or hard mantra, repeated overandover. I haven't researched it, but I'm sure Nirvana is immensely popular in many non-English speaking countries. "whatever" Exactly!
