What is so brilliant? | Reviewer: JBird | 4/11/08
This song is (hold on, just a song) Nothing brilliant about it. Kurt Blowhisbrain is put up such a high archy, he would hate it. In fact he did. He hated that Nevermind was so miscued by its fans. They didn't get it then and they don't get it now.
Not a F* this song | Reviewer: Paul | 3/2/08
Someone said that this song is a "F* this" song. It's not. Read the lyrics. It's about uncovering the reality of human nature and trying to accept it. Too many people think Kurt was this succumbing-to-dark person. He wasn't. Most of the time he was just pissed about suffering human nature, and wrote about it. If you read his lyrics closely, you can see clear hints of how he wishes to overcome.

Yet again I was sent into my own world of " A Nirvana inspired musical heaven", as I find that its one of those songs( 1 of MANY)that makes me content and kinda chilled inside, not to say this song is weak or sad, but awesome. One of those f* this songs. Hope that made sense

This is a song about his turtles. I may be wrong, but if it's true this one drives me crazy even more.
Sappy/Verse Chorus Verse/Laundry Room | Reviewer: Anonymous | 10/8/07
very good song, although im not as big a nirvana fan as a lot of the people i know, i can still appreciate an artist with extreme talent and a willingness to... share his emotions i would say.

Kurt definately put his own life in his songs, and brilliance in just about every one. First time I heard this, I knew we had to play it for a school talent competition. We still play Nirvana songs from time to time. Some people compare Kurt's lyrics to that of John Lennon saying how brilliant they both were...and I'd have to agree. Two artists that died before their time.

Simple, Kurt, like the Pisces Jesus he is, knows how unreal this world was, to him, to us. And, again, like the Pisces Jesus he is, was nothing but good to the world, trying to keep the happyness... sometimes resulting to sadness, seeing on how crooked this world is. Sappy. It's that simple, yet that complicated too
Conclusion came to you | Reviewer: Emily | 8/1/07
I've read on multiple occasions that this was about, or at least inspired by, the turtles Kurt kept in his living room. but of course you can interpret it at your will. It's a brilliant song either way.

UK fan's viewi | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/12/07
i love this song not just for the oblique lyrics but also the haunting melody - a nirvana hallmark - which complements the lyrics perfectly.
clearly the lyrics are open to interpretation - it's enough for me that kurt put so much of himself into the song - it's this emotional honesty and soul-bearing that for me at least makes it such a compelling song and one of nirvana's best. My only surprise is that is has never had the recognition it deserves, nor the vig/albini treatment that might have given it an extra edge.

I love the song both for its lyrics AND fabulous melody which were of course were always a Nirvana trademark. The lyrics are oblique and obviously open to interpretation - it's enough for me that he (ie kurt) put a great deal of himself/his own views & experiences into the lyrical content - my only surprise is that it was never a higher profile song or given the full vig/albini treatment
Beautiful. | Reviewer: Kevin | 7/8/07
Cobain will always be a legend to me because he can write soo much about himself in his songs, its like at a high personal level. This song is obviously about femenism, but also about hypocrisy within someone, as they fool themselves. I think Cobain sadly did this...and well hes gone, but hes music is still here and its godamn beautiful.

this is just another example of kurts lyrical brilliance which many have tried to copy but have failed dismally. the song alludes to the ignorant lives people lead; oblivious to everything but being socially accepted. in bloom also touches on kurts hatred of the teenie bopper. it describes the ironic life of those who have a false sense of happiness when they are to stupid to realise theyre miserable.

IMHO, Sap from song title is merge of words [s]ad and h[appy]. And song, of course is about happynes, but from Kurt point of view, from which happyness is only actors play, so it's only sad game. About this playing of happyness hi wrote in his soicide letter.
