I just wanna say about the lyrics and the way this was being done (and i really hate to ruin everyones fun if i do) um well most the way their early stuff was done was apparently from pressure to conform to the Sub Pop company, so he supressed a lot of his good talent and stripped songs down to bare bone. and as far as lyrics i think i also read that they dont mean much to him because he would just kinda write them up, sometimes on the way to the studio, and he was like "as long as its negative its good enough" (not in those exact words) HOWEVER dont get me wrong, cuz i frickin LOVE this song i just thought id put that out there cause everyones like "yeah these awesome lyrics and sounds!"

I wish I could say the same as the others, but this song was released one year before I was born. it was my brothers influenced teen angst who got me into Nirvana. This is by far one of my fave songs, from the guitars to the lyrics, what teen doesn't relate to negativity, getting stoned?

The early work of Kurt and Nirvana is amazing to say the least. I was a freshman in college when I first heard this being blasted up on 11 through a guitar amp. We were like "this is punk? metal? both?"

im pretty shure this song is about the girl that everyone would call retarded at his school. they used to go over to her house and steal her booze. ( the chorus)

i absolutely love this song, it is one of my favourite songs ever.
all i know is the song's about rape, again. but i'm not so sure. still, yes, it certainly expresses the teen angst.
Yes you are. | Reviewer: Anonymous | 6/17/05
Gosh..so many years have gone since I first heard this song, 12 years ago I was 16 and certainly was a negative creep. This song more than any of Nirvana 's captures the hopelessness and freedom of being a teenager - what fun.
