The Reviews about Milk It (page 2/ 3)
------ performed by Nirvana

Meat | Reviewer: Mike | 4/8/08

This is seriously my favorite song, it shows
Kurt's growth as a song writer and his versatility

In utero was a great album altogether obviously
I personally think it was better than NEVERMIND
because the tone that Kurt uses and the grainy
distortion in all the songs just fits with that
era of time.

Also, What's Kurts fascination with meat??

Read | Reviewer: Pete | 3/12/08

I dont remember exactly what the song is about , but there is an awesome book called "Heavier Than Heaven" by Charles Cross that has Kurt's life detailed in everything. I'm a huge Nirvana fan, trust me the book was incredible. I strongly suggest reading it. It's like being in his mind...

people need to stop trying to decipher his lyrics. people who try to tell others how he felt and what he thought when they don't know him. unless you accually felt the way he felt you will never fully understand his lyrics. when you feel the same as him then you will understand, untill then stop telling people what he was thinking, thats what he hated the most was people who constantly misinterperate him.

Re: Bubbles | Reviewer: Rachel | 12/12/07

I don't have a problem with everything this Bubbles person said, except for the whole "In Utero" thing. In Utero means that a baby in in it's mother womb, and he did not mean that to sound like uterus. I have no idea if Kurt had a fetis for female body parts, but I don't think he meant In Utero to sound like that.

Kurt | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/29/07

Hey Guys!!! From Kurt's childhood he even knew that he was going to commit suicide in the future. His main goal in life was to become a famous rock star then commit suicide so that he would be remembered forever. Rumors are that kurt may have been murdered... as much as we would like to believe this, the chances are he ended his own life.
This is what i think bits and pieces of this song mean:
I am my own Parasite - Kurt feels alone
I dont need a host to live in - He doesent need people to tell him what to do. Kurt was very misunderstood and did what he wanted.
We feed off of each other, we can share our endorphins - Kurt is talking about about his relationship between him and his fans.

Chorus - Kurt views scuicide as a good thing and losing eyesight i think is him talking of his struggles. Kurt may be mad at God and is hinting depression.
I dont think i really understand anything else after that. Her milk is my shit, my shit is her milk may just be saying that its the same shit over and over and over again. "protector of the kennel" ...maybe... ehhh... what the hell! haha! perhaps the whole last part is about his death. Maybe the kennel represents his coffin or something. Obituary birthday... we all know that...

I think Kurt's "Milk It" was in his eyes "Fuck It" fuck life ehh..?

anyways... People that misunderstood his lyrics depressed Kurt. So... i truly hope i got some of that right... haha!

THANK YOU KURT!!!

Love love love | Reviewer: Bubbles | 11/9/07

Yes, clearly Doll Steak, Test Meat...In the album version, rather than live, he messes up and says Test Meat first (in the 3rd chorus), but even though it was a goof, they left it in the song. The live version (From the Muddy Banks of Wishkah) is right. The song is about a relationship between singer and fan, but...someone said the album of In Utero is a collection of quotes and lyrics liked by Kurt??? Look at the album cover...The lyrics, my shit is her milk....The base word of Utero...Sound like uterus??? Cause it is..The album is base on exploring the female body...Didn't you people see the cover?? Whoever said that about just quotes that Kurt liked....Ok..WRONG....There's a theme...It's a strong one. R.I.P Kurdt....WE LOVE YOU...!

Relationship between fan and singer. | Reviewer: Sonic Honey11 | 10/17/07

I think nirvana was Interviewed about their new album In utero before it was finishe and thats when they said the song was about a relationship between fan and singer. If you have ever heard the very first recording of milk it it's what I believe to be what Kurt said it's about between fan and singer. It's very hard to hear what he's singing about because the vocals are muddy and I think the lyrics didn't fit very well with the song melody. On the final version(what you hear on In Utero)Kurt prob made changes with the lyrics so it could fit the song more fashionably.

Its not screamo... its grunge. I love this song though, and the lyrics are correct other than the "test me!" in the middle, its "test meat!" like the other ones. Kurt does change words sometimes, either cause he forgets or a different word pops in his head or to confuse people that sing along lol.

In Utero... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/6/07

He didn't want to put anything of himself in the lyrics of the album In Utero, it's just fragments and quotes of books and movies and songs he loved...

El Angel | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/17/07

It's true. Kurt new his soul was misplaced; whether he truly stopped shuffling his cards or not. He was crawling towards death all of his life...blurring the lines. Some say it was because he was bi-polar (spawning the objectification of life)...his past, etc. Of course these are factors. But even without all of that...he was still suppossed to fit somewhere else. Look at his aspects.
