The Reviews about I Hate Myself And Want to Die (page 4/ 7)
------ performed by Nirvana

better for most ,not to understand | Reviewer: C-dirty | 12/29/07

they seem to think that kurt may have ben writing about withdrawal, of which i understand completly, to stare a demon in the face , would probobly let you write incomprehensible lyrics as well, so there you have it, conclude what you will, if you read too depp, you might not like what you feel.

You're all empathetic | Reviewer: Raziel Careter | 12/15/07

The reason Kurt Cobain is dead is because he was killed by Courtney or himself and the reason they won't re-open the case is because Courtney paid them not to. An hour after Kurt's body was found Courtney Love was brought in where they found a note book of Kurts writting because she was trying to copy it, and at the end of his suicide letter the words at the bottom are bigger than the others. If kurt killed himself it's because all of you show to much empathy (to many feelings for someone or something) toward him and its not something he wanted so he ended it and in the letter he said "it's better to burnout than to fade away" and you would know that if you would all stop bitching

I believe... | Reviewer: Lindsy | 12/16/07

That the lyrics in this song, and the words of the title alude to what the man was feeling.
Whether it be religion or herion addiction, it was a [feeling] he was singing (to me it seems) about. He doesn't say, "I hate myself and want to die, cause I'm addicted to herion, or I hate myself and want to die, because theres no God."
He's simply just singing feelings (again opinion, this is what I derive from it) that he has undergone due to some situation within his life.
For me, I could relate to the words and song because I felt, some of the lyrics described my worst days during the aftermath of leaving my cheating abusive ex-boyfriend, I FELT like I hated myself, and wanted to die.
Anyways, I think the meaning of the entire song is that, sometimes, life [a broad scope for religion, drug habit, love life] can get you so far down you feel like a castrated horse. =P

People are dumb | Reviewer: Reborn8u | 12/9/07

1. investigate the facts , Kurt Cobain didn't kill himself
2. "I'm just so sick an tired of people pumping so much meaning into my lyrics" -Kurt Cobain
3. This generation is the biggest bunch of ignorant, arrogant, spoiled, unenlightened, overgrown children to ever walk the earth. We have access to so much knowledge but we lack wisdom and understanding. Kurt was one of the few who really got it and was disgusted with the feeling that it is almost inescapable that we become exactly what we are wanted to be ignorant, slaves to our own lack of understanding.

Please read... | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/8/07

My favorite song is "Mary Had A Little Lamb". Not only is it a song everyone can understand, but I can also spell better than anyone on this forum.

he is dead, get over it and i dont mean kurt | Reviewer: daniel | 12/5/07

what god? he is kust an imaginary friend for grownups. organized religion is for people who have nothing better to do on sundays. nirvana rocks as well as this song but dont get on here and fucking preach. and its not the best song by nirvana, something in the way is way better queers

what the hell | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/4/07

the lyrics and the song is about withdrawl, withdrawing from heroine is like being sick for a week or even more. you get chills and everything, its worse than other normal cold a person has ever had, and the reason i know this is because know two people who used to be heroine addicts

? | Reviewer: Subteranean Kill | 11/29/07

For all of you people preaching about religion and suffering and whatnot read the Book Of Job, i believe in god but i dont believe in any organinzed religion, books about Kurdt Kobain are my bible...

watch out for Subteranean Kill...

i love nirvana | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/9/07

This is one of Nirvana's best songs ever...
I think it actually says "think about some capsules of horse pills", but the other interpretation also makes sense...
It doesn't matter if you follow any religion, you can still listen to and understand this song, after all angst is just a feeling ALL humans have without exception. This excelent song only expersses what most of we all humans feel, it doesn't "inducess" us to feel shity and it's definitly not a bad influence like that ignorant religious man said before... I think that if you feel that way you are just repressing what you really feel, but whatever...

wtf | Reviewer: Mark | 10/19/07
