they are the correct lyrics | Reviewer: Anonymous | 3/20/10

contrary to what this other shitdick says these are the correct lyrics. also what kurt says about painting coral and screwing it to a childs head to look like a deer is true! its too bad though that there was no mention of how much blood would come out of my sons head during the process.

Wrong Lyrics | Reviewer: Blaine Scully | 3/1/10

I don't know who the fuck wrote down the lyrics for this song. Obviously they have never heard the song. Whoever put these incorrect lyrics is a fucking retard and should have gas poured all over them and set on fire. These are not the correct lyrics at all. They are not even close. The person who wrote the incorrect lyrics deserves to die. I don't know the correct lyrics because of this retard. I know kurt says something like, "In the hot sun, In the sunlight" for the chorus and that's not even in the above said lyrics. They are not even close. Fuck the person who put the incorrect lyrics.

Kurt said most of his lyrics were just nonsense that went well with the music (paraphrase). I'm not sure if he was serious or being sarcastic but the interjection of one of Jack Handeys "Deep Thoughts" from SNL in this song tells me he had a pretty good sense of humor since that era was the funniest time in SNL's history, my opinion.

"Two Pieces of Coral" | Reviewer: Ausphexx | 1/4/10

most people don't realize
that two large pieces of coral,
painted brown, and attached to his skull
with common wood screws can make a child look like a deer

It's hard to know if this part is meant to be profound after "One more quirky cliched phrase" I think that's about the world and both together touch an issue that is important. "Cough on me" is also hitting this note. Interaction with the world is like you at your computer now. In this artists eyes - stifled, covered in a coating that you have to speak muffled words through. Stuck with a face that's only an augmentation and impure mask that will "Cough on you". It's like we are children trying to be deers or deers trying to be children. Sometimes it seems like the only answer is to tare off the horns. IT isn't. Time kills all facades. Wait. What you truly are cannot be stifled and muffled from it's own voice forever. The pessimistic would say that only you can muffle your own voice as you are the one that speaks and the one that hears. If only we had free will. Even that though is outside absolute identity. I could say more but time will tell and I have diverged from topic. "In the someday, what's that sound?". Time will tell. I think that sound is speaking and hearing as one, being as alpha and omega of ones will. Absolution, freedom - without will, as pure will.

Lyrics | Reviewer: Samuel | 1/2/10

What are you talking about? So your saying, without any lyrics Nirvana would still be the same? No...definitely not. I love the lyrics and the music, but the lyrics are great in my opinion. Just trying to state what I think. Nirvana.

sallank you stroke your pole | Reviewer: the troff | 12/17/09

Sallank why do you feel the need to name call?? Being someones "fan" is simply feeling connected, (in Cobains case through his music) i dont think you are in any position to be commenting on what others feel you just take care of your own backyard young boy.

its all about interpretation | Reviewer: anthony rami | 11/1/09

The only things humans have is there ability to express their emotions. Kurt was one of the best at that so to say not to try n interpret his work is like writing a summary on a book uve never read. I'm so lonely but that's okay I shaved my head that's about fuck trying to fit he has a lot of opinions that he makes u feel n that's what art is all about shaking ur skelatol core n pulling at ur heart strings I was possessed partly cuz I loved this cat so much thou shalt not put anything before me I dint mean too

KURT IS EVERYWHERE | Reviewer: kc | 8/19/09

I love myself better than you, i know it's wrong so what should I do? if this is not ironic, please, explain me the meaning of ironic...
Man, he was an artist, a fucking artist... and if he woke up someday feeling he wanted to write a song about gays, about love, about depressed, about whatever, he could do it... and he definetely did it.
Everyone is depressed sometime... stop saying stupid things about the deep analysis of Nirvana's songs and enjoy what he left us, that thinking about it, everyday it seems that is growing up more and more... I Love Nirvana...

for kurt | Reviewer: patty | 8/1/09

In my own opion i personally think kurts music has a great impact on the lifes of thousands of people if not millions. His music was great and i think either way whatever it actually meant i feel that it means something diffrent to every one and thats the beuty of it it dosnt matter if it was junk or not its amazing lyrics we can relate to someway or another. I personally LOVE KURT DONALD COBAIN, dead or alive he himself and his music helped me thruogh many situations and every one has a diffrent opinion and i cant change that nor will i try simply because it is impossible. He did something amazing for everyone no matter what life he had because as many people didnt have it easy he didnt either. And about this song whatever it meant to him or to us i dont care i love it i appreciate every song and every thought he put into it and i will never gudge him for something meaningless because it might mean something to someone out there in the world.Leave the arguing aside and take the time to recognize the most amazing work he ever did. Wherever Kurt is,bless him whatever he is facing.LOVE,PATTY

... | Reviewer: Sallank | 7/18/09

Gosh, you're all stupid morons, read between the lines and feel whats this about. And by the way for all you"big fans" Its KURT not CURT and whoever thinks he was cool or he liked to be cool should bury themselves, and for the others, you are not to decide whats the song's meaning, and everyone with theories of courtney being an angel should just kiss my ass, because you seem to lack intelligence, and just talk without making any sense. YOU ARE THE ONES RESPONSIBLE FOR NOT KNOWING THE TRUTH because it was your fuckin responsibility that if you were such "big fans" you would have cared for him and that what happened to him. More: It is pointless to make music because of Cobain,or for him, because thats just being a dick who you are not. As an inspiration, i say yes, but you people are such idiots i've never seen.
And by the way, I'm 16, and am a musician, and a big respecter and fan of Cobain. Shove this up. Noone needs to find out that what happened, probably noone will, but i feel the urge to find out, once. Because he's my roll model, my idol, and I want to know what happened, unlike you, I will do something, once I get there.

Nick is totally right | Reviewer: John | 7/17/09

Agreed man, it is sarcastic. Kurt is trying to get a point across, like always. Its actually the opposite of depression, he's trying to say "Grow the fuck up, your problems aren't that bad. LIVE with it." Kurt was depressed, yes. And he obviously channeled that energy into his songs, but he was not ALWAYS depressed. In fact, he was commonly joking around and laughing. Not all his songs are about his sadness, and ironically, this one has nothing to do with how he eventually killed himself. And I bet he wanted it that way. His creative and innovative songwriting is still greatly missed. We dont get songs like this anymore. And I'm sure censors would jump all over a song like this one. What has the music industry become?

WOW.... | Reviewer: Nick | 5/31/09

For all you people saying this was showing how depressed he was, you guys obviously aren't very devout Nirvana fans. The title is entirely sarcastic, if you knew him, like a real fan would, you'd understand his sense of humor. When someone would ask him how he was doing he would say "I hate myself and want to die." Have a little more respect for the man than thinking he was 24/7 depressed.

Grunge and Kurt | Reviewer: Zach | 5/26/09

I think this song truly expresses how depressed kurt was, however, COURTNEY LOVE DID NOT KILL KURT COBAIN, she had him killed, his suicide note was a retirement letter to his fans, the last 4 lines are different, but anyway, Grunge is not dead, I promise you that, In the past 6 months i have learned almost all of Kurt's major pieces, including this song, I refuse to let grunge die, and if i die like Kurt did, so be it.
