For the people who think some of these lyrics are wrong like in the 2nd line where it says 'buries' where in the normal version it was 'locked'
there were actually 2 versions and the 1st was buried, and at first it started off as 'Heart - Shaped Coffin' even.

I think its kind of disrespectful to Kurt to talk shit about Courtney, I mean she probably did do it, but she was his wife, he did love her, well atleast at one point in time.
And she did have his kid, who kept him going for atleast a while longer.

The song is about Courtney love, when he's referring to the heart shaped box it's one of the gifts courtney had sent to Kurt. It's basically about the love Kurt had for her. Originaly it's supposed to be named heart shaped coffin, but courntey advised kurt it was too dark so he changed it. Trust me what i'm telling you is true.....If some of you guys actually read the Biography of Kurt Cobain:Heavier than Heaven, it tells you what most of his songs were based on. anyway feel free to comment back im interested on what you all have to say. KURT Rocks and NIrvana is the shit, let their music always be known.
