You people are taking Kurt's death(suicide in my opinion) into account way too much, and not this frickin' song! I like Nirvana, not Kurt himself. He was an awesome musician, but a horrible fucking person. If (insert random percentage) of the teen population did (insert random Kurt behavior), that piece-of-crap percentage would be dead. Still not flaming Nirvana or the song, it's awesome(regardless of the meaning), but you people are taking Kurt's death too far.

Kurt comitted suicid with a shot to his effin head!!!*heartbreaking and i cant get over that!!* BUt it was all becuace of the fame that drove him to it. He did not want that and you can see the fear of what was going to be in a close up in "smells like teen spirit" or in "heart-shaped box" the song was written for her but she was not the cause of his death!!!! she wasnt his only love! there are other songs for other girls he loved!!!

seriously. i hate everybody that thinks they should argue about the whole courtney love killed him vs. kurt cobain killed hisself. nobody truely knows but mrs. love herself and shes not going to tell the whole world if she really did kill him, so whats the point in argueing about this? most of you werent even born yet.

This song is about Courtney and about how much he loves her.
The title is in reference to a present she sent him before they started officially dating.
Try reading authorized biographies and not just making up ridiculous theories.

Kurt Cobain was hott who gives a crap about courtney anyways? Even though they did get married I think she did it, the tests say he had too much drugs in his body to pick up a gun! ok um...i have been reading through all ur reviews (yes its a sad life) and umm...well like um i've read interviews and um well the whole album wasnt about a fetus talking to its mum. what the fuck is with that? i dont think kurt wanted people to obssess over his songs and as a matter a fact he probably wouldnt give a fuck how many of you cried over his songs and death...its so obvious he killed himself..he was bipolar , the guy had been getting stoned since 13 he was taking lethal amounts of heroin just about everyday, and ur saying this guy had no reason for killing himself? he had a failed marraige, he was taking so much heroin he was basically a vegetable and having severe nightmares...yeah i beleive courtney was up to something, but it wasnt killing him sshe was probably trying to get all his money aftershe found out he was leaving her for a second time...and he also tried a previous suicide attempt in rome so how could u not beleive he killed himself....
and courtney in an interview (i'm not quite sure if with kurt) said that when they were developing a liking to eachother she would send heart shpaed boxes to him and he would send them back and that he had been intreigued by her vagina and that the song is about sexuality...

this song is probably about abortion. Dont diss curt its easy to pontificate about suicide when it hasn't touched someone close to you. If a deffinate suicide note isn't left there is room for doubt, I think he was murdered and on that bitches instruction. She certainly knew how to mess with his head.

actually, this song is sung by a fetus to his mother. So it doesnt necessarily mean that its kurt singing to his own mother, I mean he WAS born.
