The Reviews about Heart - Shaped Box (page 15/ 17)
------ performed by Nirvana
Heart Shaped Box | Reviewer: Austin | 4/17/07
I love this somg. Nirvana has to be one of the greatest bands ever, I have never heard any band emulate their sound. Kurt's powerful vocals combined with a dark riff make for a perfect match. 9/10
Nirvana still rocking in 2007 | Reviewer: Ray | 4/7/07
F--- YEAH Kurt! I wish I was older when I listened to Nirvana when I was little. I would of went to a concert. Probably the only singer I can relate too about drugs suicide depression and the logical reasons for not liking the world. This is the stuff I listen too when I just dont give a fuk. Kurt Kobain is just a master of metaphors.
Nirvana-Heart shaped box | Reviewer: Dev | 3/20/07
WOW! I was totally blown away. I am young and I listen to old alternative and oldies rock. Nirvana is in the top ten out of every thing I listen to. Heart Shaped Box, one of my favorite songs. Always will be. Anyone who only listens to hip hop is missin out on this great song and group. Every lyric in this song makes me thin and llook deep into my soul agreeing with these powerful lyrics. People say there lrics are to graphic. W /E. Long live Nirvana

Sweet Song | Reviewer: Jenna | 2/12/07
I was watching an E! True Hollywood Story on Courtney, and Kurt was obviously mentioned. The author of "Heavier than Heaven" said Courtney mailed him a heart shapped box, and that Kurt even showed him the box. It was the inspiration for the song.
I think.... | Reviewer: somery | 2/10/07
Im thinking the cancer is the bad or disliked thought or "impossible to correct" frame of mind of the lover, like when you are in an argument and they get unchangibly frustrating and sometimes illogical. The new complaint is that he is in debt, possibly sarcasm, to the other, due to their "advice"
the last paragraph may be his thoughts of wishing to be unborn, a heavenly elaborate suicide, to get away. Thats one take of it.
Another may be hes speaking thru the point of view of the letters, in that they were bringing ill-sought comfort to courney. The letters were symbolically regretting they weren't able to get rid of her sorrow.
definatly intresting.... | Reviewer: Geneva | 1/9/07
I don't get the part "I wish I could eat ur cancer before u turn blck" makes no sense....and what's his new complaint? oh well I still like it its sounds soft yet hard at the same time....only manageable by the kurt cobain even tho he's a fuckin druggie lol
Repetitive and Lacking | Reviewer: Kurt | 1/1/07
The title sums it up, but in long form, the song, as interesting and creative as its lyrics are, is very repetitive in a grating sort of way. One cause of this is the vocals: the main voice lead is oftentimes very over-used. There are many segments of the song in which vocals are used where it would be much better without them. In addition, his voice is unrefined, and almost painful at points. ("Cay-un-currrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...")
The guitar work is simplistic, and there's just a lot more that could have been done for this song. It's not a bad tune, but it could use a lot of work.
My Review | Reviewer: Doug Benson "The Pop Culture Bachelor" | 12/28/06
I'm giving a rose to the part about the eating of cancer because i want to see more of that in 2007
