Kurt Cobain | Reviewer: osiris | 10/11/2008
Kurt made a few different versions of a lot of songs and changed the lyrics a lot. Before Smells Like Teen Spirit was put on an album he sang like 5 different versions of it all with different lyrics. This sounds like the version that i have.

damn this song is great, it has such a simple yet deep riff and creates some sick emotional response, at least for me
i first heard this song from Incesticide with this lyrics, but you´re rigth, the one that is in the b-sides album has different lyrics
interesting | Reviewer: phil | 1/8/2008
this song describes perfectly what emotional problems are in my family, family that fell apart despite my efforts.i definatly got nothin else to prove, proved but still be disbelived.
tired of trying. when i die before i wake,
hope i dont come back to live this shit.the shit this song describes,my life.
good song, atleast im not the only one living this shit.
with teh lights out | Reviewer: brian | 11/5/2007
true, these are not the same lyrics heard on the box set.. that was a rough version of the song. These lyrics are heard on the single for Smells Like Teen Spirit.
I first heard this song in a bowling alley in Tweed on a jukebox that actually played 7 INCHES! Other than Nevermind, it was the only Nirvana I could get in my little hick town so I would feed quarters into that jukebox to listen to this rare gem every Sunday afternoon.
One of my favorites | Reviewer: Jimena | 11/1/2007
This song is great, but here are not the same lyrics I hear on "With the lights out".
I think Jeff is right, he should submit his corrections.
You guys got the majority of it right | Reviewer: jeff | 10/25/2007

Great song. | Reviewer: David | 10/4/2007
This song is depressing, but it's still one of my favorite songs. From my point of view this song is all about him and how his life was. But that's just me.
True Grunge | Reviewer: Spunky | 7/31/2007
I first heard this song on "With the Lights Out". It was amazing. I love how Nirvana songs can be discected and meanings found in them, like that review that said it was depressing. This is definately one of my favorite Nirvana songs.
Kinda depressing | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/26/2007
Anybody else find this song depressing? The lyrics seemingly describe someone who tries to be somebody but goes nowhere and disappoints everyone and sees no reason to continue on with life. Great song, but sad in a sense.
best one yet | Reviewer: Anonymous | 4/16/2007
