man i hate that every one now and days is like man i wish there was a different music than the crap now well thats why people like me actually wanna change it by forming a band that write and sing songs that come from the heart so if u wanna do something about the music pick up a guitar and start doing something about it
drugs? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 2/5/09
the comment about this song being about "the drug thing" would make sense... if heroine dilated your pupils! In fact it constricts them. And Kurt said himself that 99% of his lyrics are nonsense thrown together, but by human nature we all asign our own meaning to them. So to end the argument, this song is about WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE ABOUT. That's the way Kurt wanted it to be. Enjoy.

funny thing is half you "nirvana fans" have NO idea what the songs about lol. all the songs on nevermind have NOTHING to do with Courtney Love, they were written BEFORE he met her. This song is about an ex girlfriend of his called Tobi, she was from some band that he met when he was in Olympia. The first line is because she said that to him "im lucky to have met you". So please, before you actually have facts about it, don't type it.

No no no. This song is an off beat love song about Courtney Love. It kind of talks about the whole drug thing and and the fact that they had dysfunctional lives. Yeah cuz that's how he was. Obviously he couldn't just come right out and say I love you, you know?
LOVE IT | Reviewer: Anonymous | 12/9/08
I love Nirvana, and remember exactly what I was doing the day I found out Kurt was dead. I was 17 and it shocked me! I was so in love with the grunge era, that his death was such a significant symbol that grunge was definatley dead too. Drain You is one of my favorite songs by Nirvana. I wish music comes back to a more rock and roll mainstream again, instead of all this crap that is popular now. Thanks for posting these lyrics!! XX
Interpretation | Reviewer: bPinillos | 11/21/08
This song is about ridding one's self of their attachment their egotistical state of mind and greedy tendencies. Two babies, or people who confess to knowing very little (which is intended to sound submissive), are in the middle of a conversation. The first baby, leads with a submissive and endearing statement, "I'm lucky to have met you." The second responds, "I don't care what you think unless it's about me." The introduction leads us to believe the rest of the song follows in conversation form.
There is also a misprint in this lyric passage,
In the Third passage, the fourth line should read:
"you taught me everything about the poison apple."
which among many other things, could mean human's tendency towards greed.

k everyone here should stop arguein about how he died. no one knows for sure but tylor is right that was clearly kurts outlook on life alot of ppl feel the same way. he hated corporate america because thats what makes life the way it is. im canadian and i cant stand corporate america.. hell i cant stand america at all. look at your constitution. your a country with the right to carry arms to stand up for your rights and none of you do. go to europe. lets say france. the government is terrified of the ppl because they will riot if anyone tries some sneaky shit behind thier backs. in a democrocy the ppl decide what happens not your government. in france they dont have the right to carry a gun to make sure they get what they want like wtf
Goodbye Kurt | Reviewer: rick curley | 11/4/08
I was horrified when I heard that Kurt was gone;
And as a matter of fact I'm not ashamed to admit I BROKE DOWN AND CRIED.
I almost started a fight telling him NO HE'S NOT DEAD!
I know that I was trying to convince myself now But I think I knew then that grunge had truely been silenced.
R.I.P.

I'd like to believe he didn't kill himself too. problem is, i have a general idea of how he felt, i know the world is an ugly place. I know how it feels to want to be the average stupid ass person with no insight as to how this world works or how people think. I know what it feels like to realize no one really cares about you or your wellbeing. heres a lesson in life, the only thing anyone wants from you past the age of 18 is your body your money or your material possesions, think about that. Whats the reason were here? are we alive to someday die and fertalize this shit hole we call earth? Howabout when you're in constant pain for no reason at all? does that make life worth living?
no
i just gave you all a reason to go jump off a building or take a shotgun to your mouth..
