Cobain | Reviewer: Renegade | 7/30/08

I'd like to believe that kurt was murdered and not suicide (especially since the murder evidenece so obviously overpowers the evidence of suicide)He was just great. There will never be another person like him. He was able to push past his suffering and show the world his talent. That's probably the thing I admire about him most. Every single one of his songs had deep meaning. And even if you didn't know the meaning, you could feel it when he sang. He's my idol and hero. -Rest in Peace.

Interpretaition | Reviewer: Filipi Dariva | 7/29/08

Hi im brazilian and love Nirvana. The last interpretation was great, very intelligent. We realy can make a relation with tv (evil) and watchers (slave)in this song. But i read a Kurt's biografy and the writer says that tihs song was wrote to his girlfriend/wife Kurtney saying how he drain everything from her. Well that is my cointribution to this great discussing. Sorry for my writing mistakes.

maybe tv? | Reviewer: just a guy thinkin | 7/3/08

when i first read this i took it as he might have been talking about how evil tv was/is as tv bein one baby and the kid the other.also the yellow water is the pee and he is being sarcastic on how its "healthy". bcuz ive recently read kurdt journals and one page says how tv completly took up all his time and junk like that.

definatly not sayin anyone is wrong but thats how i interpret it

Gifted Songwriter | Reviewer: Lee | 6/26/08

Clearly that we are discussing the interpretations of Kurt's lyrics 17 years later bears testament to how gifted a songwriter he was on Nevermind.

He was an idiot for blowing his head off. Should be a boring old man by now.

But the man could write songs.

Dude, this song rocks.
I love Nirvana's music.
Not neccasarily the message alll the time.
That GOD and Jesus that he can finally be happy now that he's in Heaven with everything else.
And everything will be there eventually.

truth. | Reviewer: Michellemafia | 1/8/08

this song is about an article that kurt read and it interested him.
the article was about a woman having conjoined twins, and one of the fetuses [feti?] was obtaining all the food and energy from the womb.
when the mother gave birth, one of those twins was fed and semi-healthy, and the other was a malnourished still-born.
Kurt was enthralled at the concept of greed in the womb, that is what he saw it as, greed.
a lot of his songs were about news events.

kickass dude, but i don't dare give him more credit that that, he would have hated it.

just something I got out of the song | Reviewer: Kiwi | 12/29/07

"One baby to another says -
I'm lucky to have met you" refers to two teenagers meeting and falling in love. The song is going back and forth betwen the two's point of view, one is neglectful and selfish, "I don't care what you think, Unless it is about me" The other does everything for the neglectful partner. the neglectful one introduces bad things (ex. habbits, drugs, etc.) to the other. "You're my vitamins" the neglecte needs the other

heyy | Reviewer: magan | 12/28/07

he actually wrote this song about a girlfriend back in seattle, named tori i think. He was amazed by her, and learned a lot about the punk music scene from her. he acutally wrote a bunch of songs from this album about her... try reading the biography heavier than heaven.. its a real good read

Agreed | Reviewer: Downer | 11/30/07

I got the same impression of this being about a child in the womb, then being born when I initially read it, but couldn't figure out the "one baby to another says" bit until reading Timmy's comment. Cheers! It makes sense.

"I don't care what you think unless it is about me" describes a baby's view of the world. "Draining you" could be feeding, and lyrics like "I'm a healthy student" and "I've become your pupil" also make sense if this song is about a baby and its mother.
