one dumb fuck doesn't even know how to spell his name! come on assholes if you're going to comment on Nirvana then know your shit. Kurt is obviously just giving a big fuck you to haters, and thats it and he was loved for it.
Open For Interpretation | Reviewer: Tyler | 2/8/09
Why is everyone trying to interpret THE meaning of the song. I mean, art and music, in my opinion, are supposed to be open for interpretation. I guess what I'm trying to say, is that it could have a different meaning for each person that hears it. And Kur(d)t would sometimes just insert random lines from his journal entries, if they fit. So maybe each line could be about something COMPLETELY different. Probably not, but I'm just saying.
P.S. I spelled Kurt's name as "Kur(d)t" because that's how he would occasionally spell it, even though his name was actually "Kurt".
i think ...... | Reviewer: rosie | 7/28/08
you should all listen to the music and stop tryin 2 analize whats being sung! jessss!!!!!!!!!
as a lover of the band nirvana i think you should listen to an interview by kurt and when people start askin him is this wat your song is
really about! he laughs and says whatever you think! see he didnt care why the hell should you???!
also im am a believer that he did in fact get murdered! it makes more sense than him doin himself in while i would say half comatosted!!
meaning | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/24/08
The song is not at all about Kirt, it's a reflection of people and it's meant as a joke/critic. Basicly, Kirk's singing about other people. Any other interpration made about Kirk himself is ironicaly absurd.

lyrics... | Reviewer: greg | 5/12/08
grew up with nirvana's music and listen to it every day still... you would like to think his words are pure genius (in a sense they are), but have read enough books and seen enough interviews that you know its just nonsense that happens to be delivered very well.
anywho, was glad to see this site got the lyrics a little better than most. especially the line were he says "opposee from shame" (opposite from shame). other sites (do a search) have it as some other shit :: "Aqua seafoam shame". WHAT THE HELL IS THAT?!
other than that, there is no "with" in the line "Sunburn with freezer burn". it is just "sunburn, freezer burn". and if you read this one book that shows pictures of all his lyrics (on notebook paper), it confirms that.
peace out and long live kurdt
Lyrics | Reviewer: Vickie | 4/6/08
Nirvana were always more about the intonation, the energy, the emphasis Kurt placed on certain syllables and guitar riffs than actual words. He said himself: "I don't consider them a big deal at all, as long as it has a good melody line; a hook and live energy is far more important.."
BOTTOM LINE: | Reviewer: Israel | 4/6/08
this song is well written. It helps me up when i'm down. Though, Nirvana's music was written in the 90's, it will forever live for many generations to come! Kurt was truly a music genius, pouring his heart into all his work.
the lyrics.. please excuse my grammer | Reviewer: Dave | 3/10/08
of course ppl are going to pick apart his lyrics, its human nature to try to get the meaning out of songs that effect them deeply. what is a song with no meaning anyway?
my opinion:
the line "I wish I was like you, easily amused" is Kurt saying that its unfair that he was blessed with intelligence, but cursed with depression, while dummer people seem to be happy for no reason.
the line "find my nest of salt" is paradoxical. a nest beinga place of comfort and safety, and salt being something courosive and painfull. this could symbolise his heroin addiction which gave hime comfort and releif, but at the same time was self-destruvtive.
him saying "i'll take all the blame" and "everything is my fault" i think is linked to his depression, which offen causes that type of negitive thought cycle. those who have depression will understand better.
the specific lyrics arnt as important as the tone and emotion that is put into them. the overall meaning of this song can be different than the meaning of the specific lines, aswell.

I went to university with Halperin and Wallace. Writing for the university newspaper, they were nothing but gossip-mongers back then and now, decades later, nothing has changed with these losers. They've made careers out of digging up dirt on people and when there is no dirt to be found, they simply fabricate stories to suit their needs. Bottom line: Kurt Cobain comitted suicide. There were no conspiracies, murder plots or any such nonsense. We miss you, Kurt. R.I.P.
