Amazing | Reviewer: David | 3/31/08 Well I have been a Nightwish for some time and at first I wasn't planning on buying this album due to the loss of Tarja. Let me just say, Anette is much different than Tarja, but I agree that Tarja would not fit with the new style Nightwish is pursuing. The lyrics in this song, and the whole album, are just stunning and really flow together. I can't listen to selected tracks on this album without listening to the entire thing. All of the songs flow into one another beautifully and it is just wow.... Buy this album. I love Tarja's voice, so much, and I strongly believe in classical training, but she wouldn't have done the mood justice. You need a clearer voice for this, more straight tone and less vibrato, to really be effective. This whole album seems to change Nightwish's style a little bit, but not for the better or for the worse. It's different, and it's just as wonderful. Even without Tarja, I think this band can be amazing. On an unrelated note, is anyone else around here American? I only know two other Nightwish fans personally, and one of the is the brother who introduced me to the band. I really wish stuff like this could replace all the rap and pop I see on the top charts around here. And for those of you who are sceptical, you should see them perform up there on stage live. I swear to god they did a better show then they ever did with Tarja. I know that she is what made them opratic, but they are just the swellest with Annette now, just give them a chance. They are different, yes, but the chemistry between them on stage is just astounding, it made for an awesome show because, as a result, the chemistry between them and the crowd with phenominal. But I like tarja when she sings her songs such as wishmaster, and when anette sings her songs such as amaranth. This song was one of the best ive ever heard and also I dont think anette was singing the intro, im pretty sure thats a boy singing the intro.
