A suicide fantasy? | Reviewer: Anonymous | 11/23/09

This seems like a cry for help, a description of agony, of a wounded heart, leading to ultimate despair.

"He was found naked and dead
With a smile in his face, a pen and 1000 pages of erased text"

Seems like he's imagining himself dying after having ripped up and burned all the songs and lyrics he had already written for Tarja, not just for her to sing, but to profess his unending love for her.

I am confused about one line... | Reviewer: unknownpersonality | 11/17/09

I understand the story of this song...except for one line.

"The music he wrote had too long been without silence."

What does that one line mean? Does that mean that he DIDN'T want his music to be heard?

Or am I thinking too hard about this, and it's actually something much more simple?

Help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Just.... Amazing. | Reviewer: Amaya Kuro | 8/25/09

I accidentally found Kinslayer on youtube, and I have been stuck to their songs ever since. This is my favorite song to both listen to and sing, and I make sure its included with every part of my day. Nightwish makes the most beautiful songs. Eva is sad but beautiful, Cadence of her last breath is just amazing and beautiful, and there is not a song I dont like from them. Nightwish - defiantly something for anyone and everyone.

I think this is the best piece of music ever created. It tells such a sad story. When I listen to this I know I'm not alone, and the song overal is just fantastic. This song really helped me get back up from such deep black holes, I can only say, thank you Nightwish, and specially, thank you Tuomas. I hope our paths one day will cross, so I can thnk them in person. All the luck, creativity, health, and love in this world, E.

So much meaning | Reviewer: Anonymous | 7/31/09

This is the one song that we should not discuss the two Tarja/Anette, and instead focus on Toumas. The song is, after all, about him. This song is a shining example of how music can drag us out of the pits of our despair and set us back to our lives. This song is art in it's purest form, period.

.... | Reviewer: Helena | 7/16/09

I have to say this: While I do own this song, Anette vocally and emotionally did not pull this song off to the extent that a certain ex-singer could've. It calls for Tarja's voice of operatic proportions. Annette has her own vocal style, which is not at all horrible in any way, and I wish her many successes in the musical world, but my personal preference is for Tarja. What can I say, I grew up with it.

Touching | Reviewer: Lauren | 7/18/09

Nightwish is the most touching band i have ever heard. I am from the USA though so people don't like it like me. If you haven't heard Amaranth by Nightwish you need to. That song touches me so deeply my heart jumps from my body. This song is amazing too! :)

Overall Good | Reviewer: Daxisheart | 7/18/09

First of all, great action, perfect at parts and simply overwhelming how great every single part of it is created.

But honestly... someparts of this song was weird. The fact that it is so long is both good and bad, as the song meanders from soft and nice to heavy, really really heavy and metal, to consistent rock, then down and freaky, and then back slow, really slow. I find this something as a fault in the sing. IF you isolate a single part of the song, it;s really good and fun, but all together makes it sound weird, especially when one part sounds so much cooler than the others.

Lyrics are awesome.

Most Epic Song. Ever. | Reviewer: Casca | 6/7/09

I have only been listening to Nightwish for about six months. Ran into them on Pandora when I was looking for some more Evanescence-ish music, and I gotta say, they beat American gothmetal by a long shot! *thumbs up* The lyrics are breathtaking, when I first heard this song, I thought it took place in a different time. Tuomas is a prodigal songwriter. (not that anyone needs to inflate his ego any more *wink*) Saw them live in Louisville last month. Amazing. Especially compared to that crap opening band... but let's not get into that. =D Favourite songs are this, Wanderlust (why does no one else like that song? lol) and Nemo. I wish theatrical music like this would become more mainstream, but let's face it, that's not going to happen. XD The lyrics and meodies are far too deep and complex for the average person to appreciate. Maybe the human race will magically have a cultural revolution and listen to some good stuff! Live on, Nightwish- Tarja or Anette, you're still awesome.

Meh | Reviewer: Superfangrrrl | 6/6/09

I Bloody well love this song it is amazing! p.s Please stop comparing Tarja and Annette! They are not the same person Annette will never sound like Tarja accept this fact and move on! Both women are amazing singers in there own right! :D
