More canon for the Tuomas/Tarja shippers | Reviewer: Sterling | 12/12/2007
I'm not one of them, but some people claim Tuomas was in love with Tarja. I don't believe it, but I can't deny that there's a lot of potential evidence there, in lyrics (especially in Dark Passion Play) and in other things he's said. This song, plus Ghost Love Score and some other Once songs, fall into place as well, assuming that by that time he had resigned himself to the fact that he'd never get Tarja. Just like with "Paul is dead," it's fun to look for the hints, even if you think they're just coincidences.
Unfortunately, the best part of this song, though vocal, isn't in the lyrics. It's always sort of funny when people think it's cool to grunt "Uh!" in a song, but nothing beats metal riffs followed by a full choir grunting "UH!" (4:17).
Great song | Reviewer: Simon | 11/3/2007
I really like this song, its so cool with Tarja as lead singer, without the music focused solely on her voice as it was in some of the last songs they did with Tarja... This is a great song. Also The lyrics are awesome. Especially the chorus
"Leave me be,
And cease to tell me how to feel
To grieve, to shield myself from evil
Leave me be,
Ode of lies is killing me
Romanticide...
Till love do me part!" ¨
So awesome
I hope Dylan roels in his grave | Reviewer: Lukish | 2/14/2007
I love this song I always have but never knew the lyrics. My boyfriend broke up with me about three weeks ago and now that I read these lyrics one line sticks out
"Temporary pain, eternal shame
To take part in this Devil's chess game
Spit on me, let go, get rid of me,
And try to survive your stupidity!"
Can you survive your stupidity Dylan? I know I can
