Truly one of the best songs out there. Symphonic metal is the best music genre in the world. Metal instruments infused with trumpets, violins, sellos etc. Operanic voices in the background and perhaps a nice looking woman soprano singing the main lyrics and of course sometimes with harsh singing man. Nightwish is the best band in the world in my opinion.
EPIC!! | Reviewer: Anonymous | 8/22/09
This songs blends classical music and metal soooooo beautifully... I can't help loving it!
For those of you who think it should be included in a fantasy film, some guy on Youtube had the same idea and made a wonderful video summarising the 3 Lord of the Rings films. I don't remember the name of the vid, but it can't be difficult to find.

I like Nightwish because each song is different but somewhat the same and original. Amazing song and music. Ghost Love Score is a masterpiece. I am listening to the song at the same time of writing this review. I am slightly addicted to music! It's very epic. I love the stories the songs tell.

Utterly enthralling and awesome!I bought the record 2 days ago and Ghost Love Score is my absolute favourite.I love where the choir and Tarja have this perfect harmony which i just have to listen to over and over.

Well, as a student I don't get to buy music much... but this is where I made an exception. Normally a fan of YouTube and bittorrent, I downloaded Ghost Love Score. I was stupefied. I loved it!!! So I decided to buy it and all of Nightwish's songs on iTunes, and I have an entire legitimate collection. I just said to myself: finally a band has come around that I will feel content buying their music! The song is pure gothic symphonic beauty, and along with Planet Hell and Dark Chest of Wonders, deserves a place in a fantasy film.
a second version | Reviewer: King Konklusion | 12/3/08
Nightwish actually a made fully orchestrated version of Ghost Love Score, and I must say that they almost appear to be two completely different songs.
If you loved the original, then the orchestrated version will have you love it more. Neither is better, and they certainly complete one another.
Personally, i think the ending of the orchestrated version is unbelieveable. They fully embraced the chorus, and (while it's hard to believe) made something even more beautiful out of it.
Of course, there are no modern instruments or vocals or chorus-singers... so you really get to know the song a lot better.
The original is amazing, and as inspirational as ever. The Orchestrated release was just stunning. It shows that you can still rock out, even without a guitar and drums... though the song is a little hard to distinguish at points without those two instruments.
without a doubt Nightwish's most amazing song... or... maybe tied with Ever Dream =)
Good stuff | Reviewer: Anonymous | 9/11/08
the song starts out slow, but it picks you up, throws you around, and doesn't let you go until the end. It's never boring, which is really something considering it's length. It could easily fit to the soundtrack of an epic fantasy or sci-fi movie, fitting into an emotional setting right before a battle. I'm not sure that made any sense, but the point is that this is one of Nightwish's better pieces.

This piece of audiological art should be given the recognition it deserves, and more. Tarja's voice truly shines and shows she can do fast metal AND slow ballads. It should be part of classical music courses or something similiar. Absolute brilliance on both Nightwish's and the orchestra's part. This is one of those songs that will live 4ever. Loved every second of it.
