They are different, yes - Anette higher, purer but Tarja goes deeper and has a wider vocal range on the lower end.. They have different voices, but they are both cool and we have to accept that Tarja isn't in the band anymore, but Anette is. If you are looking for someone to blame, blame the whole band- they have sent that stupid letter to Tarja and told her to go. We shouldn't reject the new singer just because we loved the old one. I think that NIGHTWISH will always be an excellent band, no matter who sings in it. I'm a big Nightwish fan and I first felt Nightwish wouldn't be the same without Tarja, but I changed my mind just now. Of course, Anette is not Tarja and the more "opera" songs will not be the same, but give her a chance. You can't say Nightwish is going to be better or worse 'cause this is just the first song with the new singer. Also, give Anette a chance to sing in a song with more guitars, let her sing an old Nightwish song and let her sing live. Then decide. That's what I'm going to do. I do hope from the bottom of my heart that Anette will be accepted by all the fans and I wish her and the rest from the band good luck. I am now 16 and I want to say that Tarja can sing...I am not ever going to say she can't. But she can fall in and out of pitch sometimes. It's subtle and it was probobly caused by some outside force but it happens. This new singer, Annette, I believe, is also a grat singer. In my opinion, better than Tarja.
