This one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. It's really original and has an important deep meaning. It's like a handful of Nightwish on . It's amazing. This is one of my favorite Nightwish songs.
Greatest songs | Reviewer: Sat-oK | 5/27/07
I think, that this song is one of the best Nightwish song's, though it isn't as famous as "Wishmaster" or "She is my sin". But this song makes the face of Nightwish - soft music, good voice and of course emotion? they bring to us when we listen "Creek Mary's blood". As for me, this song in the concert 'An end of an era' was one of the best song Nightwish has ever played at concerts!
Cherokee & Lakota both deserve the same homage | Reviewer: Sungmanitu Tanka | 5/16/07
The Trail of Tears refers to the forced relocation in 1838 of the Cherokee. The native language spoken is definitively Lakota. With this amazing song Nightwish is paying tribute to all the Natives not only Cherokee.

What Native language is she using? in the above song.
Indian language | Reviewer: altair | 3/28/07
I agree that this is another of Nightwish's better songs...with one caveat: Now, if I remember correctly the Trail of Tears is the name for the forced march of the Cheyenne from their native land to Oklahoma. The Indian spoken is Lakota, which is quite recognizable from films--why not Cheyenne? Are there no speakers of the Cheyenne language?
Brilliant song | Reviewer: Lynne Valentine | 3/2/07
This is the best piece of music about the trail of tears I have ever heard. John Two Hawks evocative flute playing and words in his Native lakots language make thie a remarkable piece or work and a wonderful experience for the listener.
Master piece | Reviewer: Kamikaze Dimi | 6/28/05
This is definetly one of the best songs I've heard. It's what music needs to have: something to wake your spirit, to make you think, to make you feel what the message is. Deep feelings exposed through great lyrics, along with Tarja's voice, the Amerindian's voice and the mixing of Native American sounds with 17th century American army sounds (the drumbs) make this song one of the most complex ever in my opinion.
