You can change anything no matter what! If you guys are real Nightwish FANS then ACCPECT THE FACT THAT TARJA HAS BEEN REPLACED! I know the open letter thing was mean of the band, it would have been better off if the public wouldnt have known and just left it as a unknown reason for why she is off the band. Its just ignorent, pointless, absurd, and meaningless. Everyone just hates change, and I wouldnt blame you I hate change too. But sometimes change is a good thing. Something good might happen to both sides for all you know. I know the band doesnt sound the same without tarja, but if anyone REALLY CARES FOR NIGHTWISH everyone should just keep listening to there music. I do agree with some of the comments posted here, everyone should stop complaining over something that happen for almost a year already. If you dont like Annette then listen to the old songs! Is it that hard for you to do people? Why fight a war that has already been fought? Why complain if complaining doesnt do anything? Once upon a time there was a great gothrock band called Nightwish! Their name was said with awe! Their song echoed through the world! They were the best!!! But alas it was 2 good 2 last... Tarja thought that the rest of the band was ignoring her, but the band thought that she was gonna upstage them and leave them 2 start a solo career! There is a big difference in quitting and being fired: if a singer quits first the band is usually washed away into oblivion, BUT if the band fires the singer they actually have a chance of surviving! They said it wasn't working out... They wanted to part on friendly terms (despite what the tabloids say, they just want to spice things up...bastards...),so Tarja, as a last sign of good will decided to let the band survive. They got their new singer Annete who (no offense) can't match Tarja! They hired her to make a goodbye-album and wait for their impending doom! But it doesn't have to end this way... If the rest of the band swallows their pride, and Tarja works in sync with them they could have a marvelous future and continue to be the best!!! For one, i strongly critisize that action and an in total support for Tarja. In fact, i think that this whole frontwoman change thing has seriously omitted Nightwish' quality. Anette sounds nice, Britney-like popish, but only on the album. However, live... i have seen many of their performances and i can just say i was extremely dissapointed. I must say i havent espected much ever since she isnt a imposing operatic vocalist, but she just cant sing in the words main meaning. They wrote the music then gave it to Tarja to overdub. She never had any input whatsoever in composition apart from ehr vocals. Nightwish was always a fucked relationship that is just disgusting, the way they treated Tarja by never inviting her to rehearsals, composing, not even telling her about tour dates etc. This song is fucking revolting because it is so blatantly taking a stab at Tarja. "Did you ever hear what I told you? Did you ever read what I wrote you? Did you ever listen to what we played?" What a total fucking joke those guys just fucking used her for her voice and treated her like shit. It is obviously there fault anf they need to stop trying to convince the fans that it was hers because it clearly isnt. It started out in the small Finnish town of Kitee. Tuomas Holopainen was sitting at a fire one night at 12am when the grand idea for what would become one of the world's greatest bands came to him. The rest is history...Literally. This band used to be wonderful, but they are over. Beautiful Tarja is gone and replaced basically by an unknown, Anette Olzon, a woman who is 10 years Tarja's elder and has a kid and a weird nose. Strange nose, fat in person, bad voice...This basically sums up new singer Annette. Her voice cannot be heard over any duets with Marco. Her versions of Nightwish classics are god awful. And this "Bye Bye Beautiful"? Its epic fail. I would pay to know what was running through that twat Tuomas H.'s head when he wrote this song. BBB fails and so does this... new Nightwish.
