But I don't think it's nearly as good as other power/symphony/epic metal you hear, becouse the harmony and the sound, afterall, is quite boring and popular. This song intruiges me. I love Amaranth and the lyrics. I'm not quite sure how to figure Amaranth. Personally, I prefer Annette over Tarja because the first time I ever heard Nightwish was with Tarja and I didn't like it that much. Now I do. Amazing Song | Reviewer: Aaron F | 5/18/09 I truly love this song, along with much of the new Nightwish music. I've always been a fan, but I just prefer their sound better now for some reason. Maybe my personality is changing at the same rate. I believe Anette and Tarja were equally talented, although differently, but I love what they're achieving with their sound now, with Marco singing more. It's such a wonderful blending of so many mediums. I guess I like the fact that there's more variation between songs now than ever before. One of the things I dread is when a band perfects a "sound" and they all begin to blend into each other, using repetitive elements. I also don't think it's wrong they cut Tarja, looking at what everyone has said and how they said it, I do believe she was getting full of herself (even if I don't think they did it the best way). It's not uncommon. Someone mentioned Evanescence, and Amy Lee has been known for being hard to work with, but in her case she IS the band. But in Nightwish's case, Tuomas is the core of the band, and Tarja just became more known because she's the vocalist. If she came to think the band couldn't continue without her, they probably wouldn't have been able to continue to work with her properly, and the music would have suffered. Amaranth | Reviewer: theredscar | 3/21/09 I am only new to Nightwish but already I love them, regardless of what they do. Their style of music is quite unlike anything else, so powerful, so raw yet so emotional and finely tuned. It really is an experiance in sound. I think that it wont really matter for me at least who the singer is as i mainly listen to the background music and the singing behind that. That is just my personal view.
