Nightwish is a good band amd they make good music. I couldn't stand Annette's voice when I first heard it, cos i thought it was a disgrace! but after listening to Annette's voice, on Amaranth she brings a certain flavour to the band In truth and in fact Annette's voice is very contemporary and not very good for a genre like symphonic heavy metal. Tarja's voice, on the other hand is very operatic and is good for this genre of metal. What is so striking is the complete switch that has taken place and the diversity of both ladies' voices which is why some will feel good and some upset, and to be truthful not many people love opera most people right now prefer a contemporary feel.I still love Tarja \m/ Nightwish !!

Amaranth has to be one of my favourite songs. Although i haven't been a fan of Nightwish for very long i do think that Tarja had the more unique voice, but that is just my opinion. Anette's voice is also unique and both of them are great for nightwish.

I don't like Anette... she tender so much..
This and "bye bye beautiful"(what is abuse for tarja...) are nice songs, but Nightwish is better before they kicked out Tarja :S

Now that nightiwsh have changed there style with their new singer, i belive they are amasing and alot better then having Tarja in the band. Yes Tarja was good but Anette has an amasing sweet voice with a punky flick to it,it realy shows that nightwish can addapt to any change and i belive in the furture Anette and the band will go far with there new skills and talent!

Nightwish is very different now that Tarja has been replaced and it will never be the same because the band's songs were written to suit the style of singing that Tarja has. Saying this, however, doesn't mean that the band is done for and no longer a good band, Anette has her own style and brings something to the band that Tarja couldn't because they are NOT the same person. While Tarja was the better of the two it is her own fault that she got kicked from the band. She is a talented artist and no-one could replace her but think of this ROCK is about the music, Anette is different and while she cant bring to the band what Tarja did she brings something different and unique in itself.

this is the first nightwish song i'v heard nd i LUV it!!! this is gonna b a 1 of my favrite songs eva- i can tel. this whole tarja/anette thing is kinda weird coz i think its all about wot ppl r used 2 hearing. i'v only just discovered them so im not used 2 either of them. i'v heard stuf frm both of them nd they r both briliant in difrent ways.
i think mayb sum ppl cant accept the 'new' nightwish coz they got nightwish=tarja in their heads nd they cant enjoy the music anymor. so actualy i guess im luky i only just heard them now coz i can apriciate nd enjoy the stuf by both singers instead.
anyway, u shud ask yourself whether u r a nightwish fan or a tarja fan. if u pik nightwish u shud accept wot the band did nd support them nd anette; dont just lose faith in them- u cant judge 2 ppl wen 1 has had so much mor stuf than the otha.
giv them a chance.

I Have only heard the song twice but its sooo amazing and i can already say im a huge fan... and thats by the inflence of one song. i love Anettes voice, she sounds like (really) an angel, much love to nightwish =]

Nightwish has always been amazing. Nightwish is still amazing, Tarja or no Tarja. Annette is amazing and Nightwish is embracing her power. Nightwish is still Nightwish, they are just trying something new and I think that thier new addittion is AMAZING. Annette has a gorgeous voice that is so differnt and she fits perfectly with Nightwish. This song, this album, is recreating Nightwish and is bringing them back to become the household name of ROCK. AMAZING

Usually when a band breaks up, that's it. It's over. No more band. Nightwish had to know, from the very beginning, that Tarja was one of a kind and that if she left - that would be it. It would be over.
Nightwish did something that is unheard of in the music world: They publicly fired their lead singer. I've heard a lot of opinions both for and against their decision, but I think it's pure Rock and Roll. Doesn't ANYONE remember what Rock and Roll is about? I'm 45! I shouldn't have to be the one to remind you that Rock and Roll is about doing your own thing - no matter the consequences.
Tarja became a prima donna but it wasn't entirely her fault. I'm sure that the band enabled much of the special treatment that I think drove Tarja to become - self-centered. I'm not blaming anyone. These things happen - AND USUALLY THE BAND BREAKS UP!
Not Nightwish! Nightwish decided that they would press on. Start a new chapter. Maybe they will only ever play a handful of their old (Tarja) material becuause NOBODY can sing those songs except Tarja. WHO CARES? Think of Nightwish as a new band - that you already love. Stop lamenting over what once was and focus on what is yet to be.
I'll make you one promise: Dark Passion Play is one of the best albums of the year. It will win many awards. Their next album will be so good that EVERYONE will know who they are and how beautifully they play.
By the way I love Anette's voice. As great as DPP is, I can't wait to see what they come up with next.

I personally SO miss Tarja and i think nw won't be the same anymore..but it's not that i hate Anette..it's just i don't like her..i have the feeling she, nor any girl who would replace Tarja, is a proper replacement for her. She had everything; the voice, the looks, the style in wich she dressed..everything!..now i see the new spot with Anette on the TV..i mean..she's SO pop..and i agree with orochi..she sounds like: i'm a barbie girl in a barbie world..
and look at the way she's dressed..i couldn't belive my eyes..where had the new nw came? to a pop band?.. i'm disappointed..really..i've expected someone who looked like she was more in metal music than her..she's like a girl who wanted to be famous, but she never listened to metal..so she really doesn't have that metal spirit which the rest of nw have..and plus, she's from sweden and not from finland..that is acctually a minus..for her because they have to comunicate in english..
so i really miss Tarja..

well, this song is great, I really prefer tarja than anette, she sings like: im a barbie girl in a barbie world xD, and live she's so shillona XD, but NW, make the path to the anette's voice xD, and sound really cool, between anette and tarja, theres no comparation, tarja is better, but anette is not bad, and tarja wont come back with nw, and as single she is cool, nw is cool with anette, now we have much good things xD

Tarja and Annette have differents voices.Each one has a own style. Its impossible make a comparisson, but i like nightwish with & without Tarja. An Tarja is awesome like a single. Love Tarja and Nightwish

I prefer Anette's voice. It is not as shrill, and she sounds much better live. I just saw them in concert and it was utterly amazing!

As far as I am concerned this is a great piece of music... that song is one of my favourites and I do think that Anette brought something new to the music of Nightwish and for me it is really brilliant!!
