The video was unlike the other Nightwish videos and because of that, I didn't really pay attention to the song. Afterwards, I replayed it and read comments, this time paying close attention to the song. I liked it that time and I still like it. I listen to it every time I can and I think Anette is a better singer than Tarja for this song. I can't imagine Tarja's vocals for this one. I love Eva, Amaranth and the new band that Nightwish has become. Because the heart of the band isn't the singer's sound, it's Tuomas' lyrics. They are still as beautiful as the other Nightwish songs and that's what matters. Personally, I don't think that Nightwish now sounds like Within Temptation or Evanescence. Those are 2 completely different bands (which I also love) and they don't sound anything like Nightwish, now. I never compared Anette to Tarja, and I'm glad I didn't. I hear and read comments from people who do and most of the time, those comments aren't respectful towards Anette. Of course she's not Tarja, but that was the intention of the band. They didn't want another Tarja. They want someone who can sing, someone who can bring Tuomas' words to the fans and let those words touch their hearts. And I personally love the one they chose. I loved Tarja, aswell as all the other Nightwish fans. But I think, as a fan, you need to respect the band's decision and support them. I, too, was hurt when I heard Tarja was fired, but the moment I heard they found another singer, I was happy. Happy and excited to find out how she would sound like. And I'm glad they chose Anette. Anette is a great singer and a beautiful woman. She knew that the fans would compare her to Tarja and that she has a long way ahead of her. But in my opinion she has more than filled Tarja's shoes. I said it before and I'll say it again, I love the new sound of Nightwish and on September 28th, I'll be one of the first to buy their new album. She was great, and I really do want more songs that she has sung. But, did you really want Nightwish to continue the exact same songs, reminding you exactly of what you have lost? Anette, she's totally different to Tarja. And yes, it may sound more Within Temptation, but I can put up with that. If you can't, why are you still listening to their music? Anette does have a great voice, and Nightwish did choose well. Do you really think that Nightwish got rid of Tarja, and picked Anette to replace her, to destroy the band?
